James 1:5 reads: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives [liberally] to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
This verse is packed with the very essence and nature of God. He is a liberal giver. People love liberation! People want God’s bountiful blessings. Why wouldn’t they? God is the giver of all good and perfect gifts. He gives (to His children) without boundaries. There is no good thing that He will withhold from those who do what is right. So, what does this have to do with the 2020 election season?
The Democrat Party is the party with the belief that government’s action is to achieve equal opportunity and equality for all. They believe it is the duty of the government to alleviate social ills and to protect civil liberties and individual and human rights. The Democrats believe the role of the government should be to guarantee that no one is in need. They believe they can “supply all our needs” — according to our own tax dollars — through spending from Washington, DC.
The Liberal government has tapped into the hearts of our spirit of liberation; the freedom to have bountiful things. There is only one problem. These “free gifts” are coming at the expense of a multitrillion-dollar deficit. God liberally gives, but He uses wisdom. In fact, Solomon asked God to liberally give Him wisdom and see what happened.
2 Chronicles 1:7-10 says, “That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, ‘Ask for whatever you want me to give you.’ Solomon answered God, ‘You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place. Now, Lord God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth. Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?’”
God honors the heart that does not seek riches for himself. He gives liberally to those who are not selfish or greedy.
2 Chronicles 1:11-12 continues, “God said to Solomon, ‘Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.”
Can you imagine that? Solomon did not ask for money or power. He asked for the wisdom to lead a great nation of people. God does liberally give and wisdom is the principal matter.
I submit to you that the Democrat Liberal agenda tries to sit in the seat of God. Politicians are pretending to be the champions for wealth, healthcare, equity, and equality. In fact, they are the party of poverty policies, welfare, disparity, and intolerance. Government should help the people in need, but wisdom must be used.
In conclusion, we as Americans lack not money, clothes, cars, food, or houses; we lack wisdom. This is our main problem. Democrats have redefined liberalism to make it seem like they are benefiting humanity with “pro choice” or homosexual rights. This is not what God intended, because he gives liberally [good things], not things that harm children or society. Let us pray that our president asks God for wisdom during this upcoming election season. He will need it.
