Democrat presidential frontrunner Joe Biden is still defending his son Hunter’s Ukrainian business dealings — serving on the board of Ukrainian gas giant Burisma, despite having nothing on his résumé to remotely qualify him for the spot – except of course his dad’s position as the vice president. “He did not do a single thing wrong,” the elder Biden once again insisted. Of course, Hunter himself says serving on the board “was poor judgment,” though he too insists, “Did I do anything improper? No, not in any way. Not in any way whatsoever.”

Nothing improper for a cool $850,000 while serving on the board of Burisma Holdings. Nice work if you can get it.

Well, Ukraine wasn’t the only cookie jar in which Hunter had his hands. NBC News reports:

In the final year of the Obama administration, an American lawyer traveled to Romania to meet with a businessman accused of orchestrating a corrupt land deal.

The businessman was Gabriel “Puiu” Popoviciu, a wealthy Romanian real estate tycoon. The lawyer brought in to advise him was Hunter Biden…

Hunter Biden’s work for Popoviciu in 2016 went unreported at the time, but Joe Biden’s involvement in Romania was very much public. The vice president was among the leading voices pushing the government to crack down on corruption.

Like his inexperience with Ukrainian energy, Hunter Biden had nothing to commend him for Romanian real-estate law — other than his last name. Hunter was likely only a prop for Popoviciu, but at the time of Hunter’s work there, Joe Biden just happened to be pushing Romania to clean up its political corruption.

Eastern Europe wasn’t the extent of it either. The Washington Free Beacon reports:

A U.S. senator is now investigating whether Hunter Biden improperly benefited from his business ties to a Chinese investment firm that has partnered with a Chinese-backed aviation company keen on stealing U.S. national security secrets. Senate Finance Committee chairman Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) received a classified briefing about the foreign investment deal [last] Friday.

Let’s be clear: That activity in China did not take place without the knowledge of the government in Beijing. As for Hunter Biden, he was trading on his father’s name and position to make a lot of money and curry a lot of influence. President Donald Trump may not have been the right one to bring it up, but that doesn’t mean there’s no smoke coming from Camp Biden.
