The Patriot Post® · Starbucks Barista Writes 'Pig' on Cop's Coffee Order
Starbucks has apologized after one of its baristas wrote the word “pig” on a police officer’s order in Kiefer, Oklahoma. Police Chief Johnny O'Mara expressed his disgust with the incident in a Facebook page where he called out the “absolute and total disrespect for a police officer.”
“This cup of coffee for a ‘pig’ is just another little flag. It’s another tiny symptom and a nearly indiscernible shout from a contemptuous, roaring and riotous segment of a misanthropic society that vilifies those who stand for what’s right and glorifies the very people who would usher in the destruction of the social fabric,” the police chief wrote on Facebook. “It’s another tiny pinprick into the heart of men and women who are asking themselves more often: ‘Why am I doing this?’”
The police officer had dropped by Starbucks on Thanksgiving to pick up some coffee for the department’s dispatchers. It was the officer’s way to say “Thank you” for working on a holiday. “This is what he gets for being nice,” the chief said. “Are we at a point where a task as simple as pouring an exceptionally overpriced cup of coffee is so complicated that it cannot be accomplished without ‘expressing oneself’?” the chief asked.
A Starbucks spokesperson told Fox 25 News they were deeply sorry for what happened and called it unacceptable. “We have also apologized directly to him and we are working to connect with the police chief as well … to express our remorse,” the spokesperson said. Starbucks said the barista has been suspended pending the outcome of its investigation.
“This language is offensive to all law enforcement and is not representative of the deep appreciation we have for police officers who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe,” the spokesperson told the television station. Might I recommend that freedom-loving patriots consider purchasing their coffee from Croatan Coffee? It’s a coffee roaster owned by a military veteran — and it believes that Blue Lives Matter.
