Amid all the rancorous rhetoric and riotous appeasement of BLM racists and other malcontents, especially from the entertainment glitterati, one fellow Patriot rises above it all.

Charlie Daniels was a great American who loved our country and our fellow citizens.

Originally from Wilmington, North Carolina, his early inspiration was from Gospel music. Charlie spent most of his 83 years in Tennessee, where his faith and patriotism permeated his upbeat country and bluegrass lyrics and his phenomenal fiddle playing.

He boldly made his love of country and life known, both through his music and social media. Last year he blasted New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for signing the state’s so-called Reproductive Health Act, which legalized ending the lives of pre-born children right up to the moment of birth. Of that atrocity, Daniels opined: “Watch the wrinkles on Cuomo’s face lengthen as the ramifications of the thousands of murders he has sanctioned come to bear on him. The NY legislature has created a new Auschwitz dedicated to the execution of a whole segment of defenseless citizens. Satan is smiling.”

In my Independence Day tributes, I have linked to a recitation by Charlie Daniels, “My Beautiful America,” which expresses his love for America. I encourage you to take a minute for this breath of fresh air, which reflects the love we share for our nation:

You can also read his words here.

Charlie told his friends, “When I leave Tennessee I want to go to heaven. It’s the only other place I want to live more than Tennessee.” Amen.

God bless you, Charlie.
