The Patriot Post® · Is Fox News Hiding Soros's Radical Agenda?
A funny thing happened with regard to the Fox News slogan, “Real News. Real Honest Opinion.” Last Wednesday, on the morning show “Outnumbered,” watchers got plenty of opinion from the show’s cohosts. But when guest Newt Gingrich tried to provide some real news, he was effectively “Memoryholed” with full Orwellian gusto.
The topic of the conversation was the violent riots that have swept the country, and the former speaker of the House minced no words in terms of assessing why they have continued. “The number one problem in almost all the cities is George Soros-elected, left-wing, anti-police, pro-criminal district attorneys who refuse to keep people locked up,” Gingrich said. “Just yesterday they put somebody back on the street who’s wanted for two different murders in New York City.”
Gingrich continued. “You cannot solve this problem and both [Kamala] Harris and [Joe] Biden have talked very proudly about what they call progressive district attorneys. Progressive district attorneys are anti-police, pro-criminal, and overwhelmingly elected with George Soros’s money. And they are a major cause of the violence we are seeing because they keep putting the violent criminals back on the street.”
That was too much for cohost Melissa Francis. “I’m not sure we need to bring George Soros into this,” she insisted. “He paid for it,” Gingrich began. “I mean, why can’t we discuss the fact that millions of dollars…”
At that point he was interrupted by cohost Marie Harf, who defended Francis. “No he didn’t,” Harf claimed. “I agree with Melissa: George Soros doesn’t need to be part of this conversation.”
“OK,” a surprised Gingrich said following an awkward silence. “So it’s verboten?”
After an even longer awkward silence, cohost Harris Faulkner ended the segment, saying, “OK, we’re going to move on.”
More like move away from inconvenient truth. As Capitol Research Center columnist Shane Devine revealed last December, Soros “has spent more than $17 million on district attorney and other local races in swing states such as Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Arizona, but also in large, predominantly left-of-center states such as California and New York.”
A partial list of the beneficiaries is daunting. Yet far more critical, Devine reveals why this is arguably the most cost-effective way to “fundamentally transform” America’s justice system, far better than funding campaigns for congressmen. “These huge contributions often make it almost impossible for the other candidates to compete,” he adds, “because district attorney elections are on such a small scale and the campaigns typically do not need to raise millions to run local ads and mobilize voters.”
It’s not just DAs who have received financing. Soros is also investing $150 million in grants to local justice groups and another $70 million in local grants for criminal justice reform and civic-engagement opportunities. “These investments will empower proven leaders in the black community to reimagine policing, end mass incarceration and eliminate the barriers to opportunity that have been the source of inequity for too long,” stated Soros’s son Alex.
The selected groups include the Black Voters Matter Fund, Repairers of the Breach, and the Equal Justice Initiative, as well as other emerging progressive organizations.
All of them are Marxist.
And the records of DAs and other attorneys Soros has financed directly or indirectly speak for themselves. In St. Louis, Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner released all of the rioters who tore up that city on June 1, despite four police officers being shot, and former police captain David Dorn being murdered. By contrast, Gardner attempted to charge Mark and Patricia McCloskey with felonies when they brandished guns to defend their home after a mob tore down a gate to gain access to their private property.
In Chicago, State’s Attorney Kim Foxx dropped charges against racial hoaxer Jussie Smollett. Moreover, Foxx has dismissed more than 25,000 felony cases — including murder cases — during her tenure.
In San Francisco, DA Chesa Boudin, beneficiary of contributions indirectly tied to Soros — and son of Weather Underground terrorists David Gilbert and Kathy Boudin, who abetted the murder of two cops and a guard in the infamous Brink’s armored-car robbery — has promised not to prosecute quality-of-life crimes, such as public camping and urination, or soliciting sex, which he referred to as an effort to “decriminalize poverty and homelessness.” He also wants to defund the police.
Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner, who has admitted that he “did pretty much everything you can do to not be elected … like associating myself with Occupy, with Black Lives Matter,” insists part of his job is “to take resources away from an exploded incarceration industry and put them into things that actually prevent crime and heal society.”
DA Diana Becton of Contra Costa County, California, has set forth a mandate whereby her prosecutors are required to consider the “needs” of looters when weighing criminal charges against them. On the other hand, when two protesters painted over a Black Lives Matter message on the street in front of the local courthouse, Becton charged them with a “hate crime,” asserting that the BLM movement “is an important civil rights cause that deserves all of our attention.”
Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins, also linked to the far-left agenda funded by Soros, has ordered police not to arrest people for shoplifting, breaking and entering, vandalism, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace, and drug offenses, and to refuse access to ICE officials seeking to arrest illegals in courthouses, irrespective of their crimes.
How twisted is this radical agenda? Gardner, Foxx, Becton, and Rollins, along with DA Satana Deberry of Durham County, North Carolina, penned an editorial in which they stated the nation’s criminal justice system “was constructed to control Black people and people of color” and that its ostensible injustices are “deeply rooted in our country’s shameful history of slavery and legacy of racial violence.”
As bad as the above is, it pales in comparison to another Soros-funded agenda. “Under the guise of seeking to ‘prevent a constitutional crisis,’ a massive network of well funded left-wing activists and progressive groups are training, organizing, and planning to mobilize millions of Americans should President Trump ‘contest the election results,’ refuse to concede, or claim an early victory,” Breitbart News reports.
The founding groups of this coalition, Indivisible and Stand Up America, are part of the Soros-funded Democracy Alliance (DA). Other Soros-funded groups include MoveOn, Women’s March, the Working Families Party, and the Center for Popular Democracy.
The message from all of them is clear: Unless Joe Biden is declared the winner of the 2020 election, America will endure orchestrated chaos, portrayed as “justified resistance.”
So why was Gingrich cut off? According to a damage control statement from Faulkner on Thursday, it never happened. “We don’t censor on this show,” she declared. “And that’s why we are winning weekdays at noon.”
In 2015, the Media Research Center’s Dan Gainor wrote a column — for Fox News — asserting that Soros “has ties to more than 30 mainstream news outlets — including The New York Times, Washington Post, the Associated Press, NBC and ABC.”
Is is time to add Fox News to that list?
Update: Perhaps not. Monday night, Tucker Carlson delved into this very topic.
