The Patriot Post® · Biden Ridiculously Blames Trump for 200M COVID Deaths
It was clear from the very onset of the coronavirus pandemic that Joe Biden, with the eager help of the Leftmedia, would attempt to hang every COVID-19 death on President Donald Trump, no matter how well he handled the situation. True to form, Biden hit Trump again, ridiculously asserting last week, “If the president had done his job, had done his job from the beginning, all the people would still be alive.” Doubling down, Biden added, “All the people — I’m not making this up. Just look at the data. Look at the data.” That blatantly false claim was too far out there for even The Washington Post to defend. Even while first hitting Trump and kid-gloving Biden for his “over-exuberance,” the Post’s “fact-checker” concluded, “Actually, Biden is making this up.”
But that embarrassing false claim didn’t slow Biden down one iota. He was out again on Sunday, this time alleging that Trump’s failed coronavirus response is responsible for the deaths of 200 million Americans. Biden asserted, “If Donald Trump has his way, the complications from COVID-19, which are well beyond what they should be, it’s estimated that 200 million people have died, probably by the time I finish this talk.” He continued, “The complication of COVID-19, like lung scarring and heart damage, could become the next deniable preexisting condition for over six million Americans [who] have already contracted the disease.”
It’s just as clear that Biden is no mathematician or statistician as it is that his mental acuity is failing. While he likely meant to highlight that the actual number of Americans who have died from COVID or related complications is nearing 200,000, the fact that he never caught his misstatement speaks volumes. It further serves to demonstrate that Biden’s goal is to blame Trump for COVID itself, even as he himself has only ever offered essentially the same solutions that Trump enacted. Meanwhile, Biden, every Democrat, and the entire Leftmedia apparatus unanimously blasted Trump over his decision to shut down travel to and from China, labeling it racist, only to later complain that it wasn’t done soon enough.
Will the mainstream media actually “fact-check” Biden and hold him to account for such a demonstrably false statement? Or will it instead seek to shrug it off as an obvious misstatement in an attempt to prevent further questioning of his mental state? What’s clear is that the MSM is going to great lengths to protect Biden while negatively spinning every statement Trump makes.
