The Patriot Post® · A Third Nobel Nomination for Trump

By Thomas Gallatin ·

Four Australian law professors nominated President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize this week — his third nomination this month — for what they called his “Trump Doctrine” foreign policy, which has brought real peace to the Middle East. “[Trump] went ahead and negotiated against all advice, but he did it with common sense,” law professor David Flint explained. “He negotiated directly with the Arab states concerned and Israel and brought them together.”

Summing up the reasons for their decision, Flint asserted, “What he has done with the Trump Doctrine is that he has decided he would no longer have America in endless wars, wars which achieve nothing but the killing of thousands of young Americans. … He’s reducing America’s tendency to get involved in any and every war. … States are lining up, Arab and Middle Eastern, to join that network of peace which will dominate the Middle East. He is really producing peace in the world in a way in which none of his predecessors did, and he fully deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.”

The Leftmedia love to point out what other nations think of the U.S. and especially our president, often as a means of propping up their policy positions as “more reasonable and widely accepted” than those of the supposedly backwards Republicans. Given this reality, it’s almost humorous to see that the Leftmedia responded to Trump’s multiple Nobel nominations either with silence or by arguing what most of us already knew — that the prize long ago became essentially vacuous.

Tellingly, there were no such sentiments expressed by the press when Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize after having done nothing but get elected president. Trump, on the other hand, has inked at least three significant peace deals, with more likely coming in the near future, and yet he is dismissed because “Orange Man Bad.” Evidentially, peace only matters if it comes via Democrats.
