The biggest problem with being a narcissist is the fact that one can’t help but view everything through the lens of deluded self-importance. True to form, Hillary Clinton once again reminded everyone why she was such an odious and unlikeable candidate. In comments resembling her infamous “basket of deplorables” slander from 2016, Clinton went low, accusing most elected Republicans of being “cowards” and “spineless enablers” of President Donald Trump. “Most Republicans are going to want to close the page,” she asserted without evidence while robotically botching the metaphor. She added, “They want to see him gone as much as we do, but they can’t say it publicly.”

She wasn’t done with hubris. Asked if a woman president would have handled the COVID-19 pandemic better than Trump, Clinton ridiculously asserted, “I have no doubt, especially if it were me. I have no doubt. I mean, I was born for that.”

Demonstrating for the umpteenth time that she has yet to come to grips with the fact that the American people chose Trump over her in 2016, Clinton lamented, “It makes me literally sick to my stomach to think that we’d have four more years of this abuse and destruction of our institutions” should Trump win reelection. That’s hilarious when it’s actually Joe Biden and his fellow Democrats who have plans to fundamentally transform America’s institutions — plans that include packing the Supreme Court and eliminating the Electoral College.

Clinton further claimed (also without evidence) that Trump is guilty of “damaging … our norms and our values, and lessening … our leadership.” She concluded, “And the list goes on.”

Leadership? Over the weekend, Trump led yet another Muslim-majority nation into normalizing relations with Israel. It would seem that Trump’s foreign policy success has far outdone anything Clinton oversaw while serving as Barack Obama’s pay-to-play secretary of state. Indeed, what stands out most from that era is Clinton’s ridiculous and failed “Russian reset” and her abysmal Benghazi failure and deceit.

What might be most loathsome about Clinton’s comments is her condescension toward anyone who would dare to support Trump and his America-first agenda. But there’s also Clinton’s own massive hypocrisy. Responding to a question regarding whether she would say of Trump “lock him up,” Clinton gasped with feigned indignation, “No, I would never say that. … I believe in the rule of law, unlike some of these people.” Still no word on what Clinton did with those 30,000 emails that went missing from her illegal home-brew server. So much for believing in the Rule of Law. Evidently, in Clinton’s mind, she is the law.
