The Patriot Post® · 'Anonymous' Comes Forward, Hit for Lying

In September 2018, an “anonymous” deep-stater wrote a New York Times op-ed about the “resistance” within the administration. He explained how he and other “adults in the room” were acting inside the White House to mitigate through insubordination if necessary President Donald Trump’s “misguided impulses,” “amorality,” and lack of “discernible first principles.” The op-ed itself was meant to sabotage the president, win votes for Democrats in the midterm elections, and help Bob Woodward sell books on the same theme. In 2019, “Anonymous” sang the same refrain to sell his own book.

As we wrote at the time, the article lacked credibility until the author was known. On Wednesday, we learned his identity: Miles Taylor, former Department of Homeland Security official (he was promoted to chief of staff months after the op-ed), Google employee, and campaign activist for Joe Biden, finally decided to come “out of the shadows.”

The kicker? Taylor is also a paid contributor on CNN, where he will remain despite lying on-air about his status. Asked by Anderson Cooper in August whether he was aware of the identity of “Anonymous,” Taylor smugly retorted, “I’m not. Look, that was a parlor game that happened in Washington, DC. You have a lot of folks trying to think of who that might be. I’ve got my own thoughts about who that might be.”

“You’re not Anonymous?” Cooper pressed. Taylor replied, “I wear a mask for two things, Anderson: Halloweens [sic] and pandemics, so no.”

After learning the truth, CNN showman Chris Cuomo, who spent much of this year laughing it up with older brother Andrew Cuomo over his, er, governance of New York during COVID, was indignant. “You lied to us, Miles,” Cuomo said Wednesday. “Now, why should CNN keep you on the payroll after lying like that?”

This is CNN, Chris. Lying is a credential.

Indeed, that was more or less Taylor’s answer. “When I published A Warning, I said in the book that if asked, I would strenuously deny I was the author,” Taylor told Cuomo. “We have seen over the course of four years that Donald Trump’s preference is to find personal attacks and distractions to pull people away from criticisms of his record. I wrote that work anonymously to deprive him of that opportunity and to force him to answer the questions on their merits.” Actually, he didn’t put his name on it because, if he had, most Americans would have asked Who? and moved on with their day.

As for lying, Taylor says, “I owe Anderson Cooper a beer.”

By the way, we don’t recall any news outlets treating Taylor’s allegations as anything less than the principled resistance he claimed back in 2018. Contrast that with the virtual media blackout and social media suppression of information regarding the Biden Crime Family. CNN’s Jake Tapper says that story is “too disgusting to even repeat here.”

“Anonymous” had far less credibility than the people confirming Joe Biden’s corruption, yet he enjoyed accolades and atta-boys that he parlayed into some sweet money-making gigs.

Come to think of it, it’s no wonder he’s voting for Biden.
