The Patriot Post® · Black Male Voices Speak
According to the NBC News exit poll of early and Election Day voters, support for Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden plummeted among black males — at least when compared to any other Democrat since 1960. If I sound like I’m smiling, I am.
I don’t want to sound like black men voted in the majority for the Republican candidate, Donald J. Trump, but let’s be honest: Any gains are a tremendous leap of political faith within the black community. With that being said, 20% of black men supported Trump, up slightly from 18% in 2016. And Democrats have fallen far from Barack Obama’s level of support among black men in 2012 and especially 2008.
In 2016, when the Democrat nominee was Hillary Clinton, black men dropped further to 82% while Black women’s support for Clinton remained high at 94%. Biden came close to matching that this year, garnering the support of 91% of black women. In Obama’s first presidential campaign, 95% of black male voters and 96% of black women chose him. Four years later, support from black women remained at 96% for Obama’s 2012 reelection, while the figure for black men slid to 87%.
Black women keep the Democrat pole position every four years. The black male is steadily freeing himself from his blind support for the party that continues to form polices that degrade, demote, and destroy black men.
Black men don’t live in a vacuum. Over half of black male (ideological) conservatives (52%) voted for President Trump. This makes total sense. Men who think idealistically will likely support a candidate who is fiscally responsible and who believes in America First and the right to life with the pursuit of happiness.
Black males voted differently along educational lines. About 26% of black men who had a high-school diploma or less supported Trump. But 22% of black men with bachelor’s degrees and 20% of black men with advanced degrees also supported him. Black men with some college education broke for Biden at levels comparable to those of black women. I guess the less liberal university indoctrination with useless degrees you have, the better you vote your morals and values.
Trump got support from some notable black icons during this election season, including Ice Cube and Lil Wayne. Ice Cube even worked to create an investment plan for Black America and teamed up with the Trump administration’s Platinum Plan.
I’m happy to know that during this weird and fraudulent election season, Black men rose to the occasion, even with just a 2% gain. Black male voices for Trump!
