One thing about the Democrats: They don’t play by Queensberry Rules. They bring brass knuckles to fistfights and guns to knife fights. And when they’re not busy trying to steal elections, they’re busy trying to incapacitate those who lawfully won them.

Which got us to thinking: Shouldn’t the Trump administration extend to the Democrats this same courtesy? Shouldn’t the president’s team, in the event of a Biden-Harris administration, throw up as many barriers, barricades, booby traps, and bear traps to socialist governance as possible?

Joy Pullmann at The Federalist seems to think so. “A savvy embattled leader will prepare for all possible outcomes, and make war on all fronts possible,” she writes. “Democrat leadership doesn’t only do that because they have evil ideology and character. They do it because it works. That means right now President Trump needs a skunkworks team coming up with as many political land mines as possible to embed in the landscape if Republicans are forced to retreat from the White House in January. Going on offense will also open new fronts so Democrats cannot exclusively focus on swaying the … Georgia Senate races to obtain unobstructed control of Congress and the presidency.”

Pullmann then lets loose with a laundry list of ideas, the first of these being the release of all documents related to the phony Russia-collusion affair. There’s still a lot we don’t know about this Obama-Biden conspiracy, after all, and it’s a source of deep frustration to all law-abiding citizens that, after four years, justice still hasn’t been served. (Unless one considers “justice” to be a single guilty plea by a single mid-level cutout resulting in a single “false statements” wrist slap. We certainly don’t.) Let’s remember: This was an American president, Barack Obama, using the awesome powers of his office to spy on a political opponent and, later, his successor as president. What could be more rotten, more malevolent? And what could be more harmful to a free republic?

Transparency is a good thing. So let’s put away the redacting pens and put it out there for the American people. All of it.

Pullmann has some other good ideas, like firing that foot-dragging FBI Director Chris Wray, who didn’t do anything but obstruct Republican efforts to get to the bottom of Spygate. (Here we’d add that firing another obstructionist, CIA Director Gina Haspel, would be a good idea, too.) Pullmann also suggests firing Anthony Fauci, the smiling little Lucifer most responsible for our nation’s wobbly COVID war-footing. Personally, we’d rather see Fauci exposed. Instead of throwing him through a plate-glass window, we’d prefer to see him pilloried and pelted with rotten fruit.

Speaking of tiny tyrants, former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich let the mask slip a few weeks ago when he called for a “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” when President Trump leaves office. His goal? To “name every official, politician, executive, and media mogul whose greed and cowardice enabled this catastrophe.” A fellow Stalinist, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, picked up on Reich’s excellent idea, asking, “Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future?”

To help defend against such depravity, Pullmann advises Trump officials to “start making their own lists of information for friendly reporters to do open records requests on to reveal the rampant corruption within the federal workforce … such as the racist critical race theory trainings that Biden has promised to reinstate if he takes the presidency.” She adds, “By now, these appointees know where some dirty laundry can be found. They should make sure it all gets aired.”

Toward the end of her list, Pullmann shifts her focus to our southern border and the caravans that will no doubt be heading there to exploit Biden’s open-borders policy: “Trump should move every single dollar he can get towards getting as much of his border wall finished as possible,” she writes, “and accelerate all other ways he can impede Biden from allowing massive amounts of money to keep flowing to terrorist cartels through human trafficking.”

Lastly, one idea that Pullmann didn’t put down but that bears directly on our ability to resist the tyranny of the state: Don’t leave a single federal judicial appointment unfilled.

All this is speculative, though. Donald Trump is a fighter. And he, his team, and the 72 million Americans who voted for him have plenty of fight left.
