The BIG Lie: “[Georgia’s election reform law] has nothing to do with fairness. Nothing to do with decency. They pass a law saying you can’t provide water for people … while they’re waiting to vote. You don’t need anything else to know that this is nothing but punitive, designed to keep people from voting. You can’t provide water for people about to vote? In fact, Senate Bill 202 specifically allows for self-service water being provided, but bans cleverly marketed gifts of food and drink from one campaign, lobby group, political party, or another.” —Peter Heck)

Grand delusions: “Vaccine passports are a good idea. Among other things, it will single out the still large contingent of people who refuse vaccines, who will be foreclosed from doing a lot of things their peers can do. That should help break the resistance down.” —LA Times columnist Harry Litman

Non compos mentis: “We have been made aware of a series of concerns, culminating in allegations that a student or students have been humiliated and degraded in class on our campus for their beliefs and values. This is never acceptable; it is not what Boise State stands for; and we will not tolerate this behavior. … Given the weight of cumulative concerns, we have determined that, effective immediately, we must suspend UF 200.” —Boise State University President Marlene Tromp on discontinuing the school’s “University Foundations 200: Foundations of Ethics and Diversity” curriculum (Apparently, she didn’t understand that “diversity” curriculums “humiliate and degrade” all those they are intended to represent.)
