Insight: “The key to wisdom is this — constant and frequent questioning … for by doubting we are led to question and by questioning we arrive at the truth.” —Peter Abelard (1099-1142)

Yep: “The description I heard by the press secretary about the border reminded me a lot of what Baghdad Bob was saying about the Iraqi War.” —Senator Lindsey Graham

Double standards: “Vaccine passports for citizens to be in public, but many illegal immigrants don’t even have to be tested to be transported by the thousands to hotels and convention centers.” —Allie Beth Stuckey

For the record: “I do not believe [COVID-19] somehow came from a bat to a human and, at that moment in time … became one of the most infectious viruses that we know in humanity for human-to-human transmission. Normally, when a pathogen goes from a zoonotic to human, it takes a while for it to figure out how to become more and more efficient in human-to-human transmission. I just don’t think this makes biological sense.” —former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield

The BIG Lie: “[Georgia’s election reform law] has nothing to do with fairness. Nothing to do with decency. They pass a law saying you can’t provide water for people … while they’re waiting to vote. You don’t need anything else to know that this is nothing but punitive, designed to keep people from voting. You can’t provide water for people about to vote? Give me a break.” —Joe Biden (“The text of the bill does not contain any ban on a person accessing water while waiting in line to vote. In fact, Senate Bill 202 specifically allows for self-service water being provided, but bans cleverly marketed gifts of food and drink from one campaign, lobby group, political party, or another.” —Peter Heck)

Grand delusions: “Vaccine passports are a good idea. Among other things, it will single out the still large contingent of people who refuse vaccines, who will be foreclosed from doing a lot of things their peers can do. That should help break the resistance down.” —LA Times columnist Harry Litman

Non compos mentis: “We have been made aware of a series of concerns, culminating in allegations that a student or students have been humiliated and degraded in class on our campus for their beliefs and values. This is never acceptable; it is not what Boise State stands for; and we will not tolerate this behavior. … Given the weight of cumulative concerns, we have determined that, effective immediately, we must suspend UF 200.” —Boise State University President Marlene Tromp on discontinuing the school’s “University Foundations 200: Foundations of Ethics and Diversity” curriculum (Apparently, she didn’t understand that “diversity” curriculums “humiliate and degrade” all those they are intended to represent.)

And last… “I’m convinced the vast majority of Christians, particularly in America, have no clue what Critical Race Theory (CRT) is or the extent to which it will — yes, will — adversely impact their lives. If you’re waiting until CRT hits your church, workplace, or school, you’re too late.” —Darrel B. Harrison
