The Patriot Post® · CDC Warns of Epidemic of Racism
A recent memo on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website, posted by CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, asserts that America is currently under a “serious public health threat.” And what is this “health threat” Dr. Walensky is warning about? Why, it’s racism. And how did Dr. Walensky come to her “diagnosis”? To put it simply, she looked at the disparate numbers of those who have suffered the most physically from the pandemic and concluded that the cause of this disparity must be systemic racism.
Dr. Walensky writes, “The impact of COVID-19 is felt, most severely, in communities of color — communities that have experienced disproportionate case counts and deaths, and where the social impact of the pandemic has been most extreme.” She then unequivocally dispels any other possible factors that may have contributed to these disparities. “Yet, the disparities seen over the past year were not a result of COVID-19,” she says. “Instead, the pandemic illuminated inequities that have existed for generations and revealed for all of America a known, but often unaddressed, epidemic impacting public health: racism.”
However, in order to make her “racism” diagnosis stick, she quickly expands the definition of racism to essentially include the entire American value system, specifically capitalism. “What we know is this: racism is a serious public health threat that directly affects the well-being of millions of Americans,” she argues. “As a result, it affects the health of our entire nation. Racism is not just the discrimination against one group based on the color of their skin or their race or ethnicity, but the structural barriers that impact racial and ethnic groups differently to influence where a person lives, where they work, where their children play, and where they gather in community. Over generations, these structural inequities have resulted in stark racial and ethnic health disparities that are severe, far-reaching and unacceptable.”
Like the woke social justice warrior she is, her prescription for combatting racism is … pushing actual racism. This means a four-point action plan, highlighted by Dr. Walensky’s creation of a new CDC web portal titled “Racism and Health.” Her explicit desired goal for ending racism is not equality but that Marxist ethic of “equity,” which was an early directive from the Biden-Harris administration. This ideology judges everyone solely by their group identity and not as individuals. You know, what we used to call racism.
The truth is, the only reason racism may be growing in America is because the Left keeps exploiting and feeding it with its Critical Race Theory ideas that only divide and destroy a national cohesive culture. Nothing says “unity” like demonizing the entire history of America as little more than a racist state.
