I’ve always been a concerned and engaged parent. My ear has always been to the ground in order to catch and expose all the left-wing propaganda seeping into our schools and infecting innocent minds. But I didn’t think that it would be happening at a “Christian” day camp. I didn’t think that my own six-year-old boy would become a victim of this vile agenda.

A few weeks ago, my son came home from summer camp at a private Episcopal elementary school — the same summer camp my four boys have all attended when young. Naturally curious and inquisitive, my son approached me and asked if it was okay for “boys to marry boys and girls to marry girls.”

I’ve never heard anything more disheartening in my life from my youngest son. Where would a six-year-old get such an idea? Who would be pushing that agenda on my son? If you are a Christian, then you know the pit in your stomach as I did when I heard my bright-eyed son ask this question. I am grateful he felt he could ask it.

In that moment, my paternal fight-or-flight instincts were activated. I wanted answers and rallied the attention of my friends and family to let them know that my child and other children were exposed to same-sex propaganda without parental knowledge.

I confronted the director of the summer camp about the gender disorientation indoctrination they were promoting to six-year-olds, and he replied that the school does not “promote same sex relationships but we don’t demote them either.” He insisted: “If it’s a loving relationship, it’s okay with us. We are inclusive here.” They explained the YouTube video featuring same-sex couples that was shown to my child and other children was harmless and just filler content used to pass the time, but I digress…

If “inclusivity” was the goal, then what about taking into consideration the families who uphold the timeless truth of Scripture that marriage is only between a man and a woman? Where does our faith fit in? During that moment coming face to face with the director, I became even more grateful for the firm foundation set within my family. But I also became concerned for the families who don’t have the discernment that guides our household, whose kids did not come home curious and asking questions about what a teacher, a trusted authority figure, had shown them.

Since going public with this disgraceful situation, I’ve reached tens of thousands of people who support my effort to expose this fact: The parents’ battleground doesn’t stop at public schools. We should have our eyes peeled everywhere we go. We should never assume that any space where there is the potential for indoctrinating our children with leftist cultural rot is safe for our children.

Of course, the secularist Leftmedia, even international media, criticized my concerns and actions. Nevertheless, my hope is to use this sad day for me as a parent to help other parents gain more awareness of the threats facing their kids, and the strength to fight back.
