Re: “Setting the Stage for Disaster in Afghanistan

“The abandonment of Bagram Airbase prior to the complete withdrawal of U.S. troops and civilians from Afghanistan has to be one of the most strategic planning blunders of all time. Had the security and operational capability of Bagram Airbase been maintained, the ongoing chaos and tragedy occurring at the Kabul airport could have been largely prevented. Additionally, the evacuation of Americans and allies from Afghanistan would have been greatly facilitated by the availability of this secured installation more conducive to such operations, not to mention the reception of redeployed forces to aid such ops. This contingency planning failure should be subject to an appropriate investigative commission.” —Florida

“Biden and his puppet masters bear all of it. Trump had approved a plan for a drawdown of equipment and personnel before the troops left and made noninterference a part of the agreement with the Taliban. The agreement also included the creation of a joint government. Biden’s withdraw order canceled everything. Now the Taliban has the best equipped army in the Middle East and it even has an air force now. It will be selling our tech to China, Russia, Iran, and anybody else with money.” —Michigan

Re: “Biden Passes the Buck

“The comment by Biden that this isn’t Saigon and that the Taliban is not like the North Vietnamese army sounds reminiscent to the president he served VP to. As I recall, Obama called ISIS a JV team while it created a ‘caliphate’ in large parts of Iraq and Syria. Two totally incompetent presidents with incredibly poor foreign policies. One has to wonder what glee the Chinese communists and the Iranian mullahs must be feeling. And what our allies must be thinking right now. That Orange Man wasn’t that bad after all?” —Colorado

Re: “Biden, What Did You Expect?

“If my Vietnam memory serves, Joe was in Congress when it voted for the U.S. to violate the terms of the Paris Peace Accords. The MSM and history professors do not tell us that the North admitted loss in that agreement, or that the VC was almost totally destroyed in the ‘68 and '69 Tet offenses. They also do not tell us that the U.S. promised full logistic support to the South if the North tried again. The Democrats immediately removed the '73 budget funding the accords depended on, signaling to the North that we would not respond again. The North took a few steps gingerly in '75, and when nothing happened, it upped the pace and collapsed the South. The Dems are just reverting to type.” —Michigan

Re: “Biden’s Blowup: Back to the Future of Islamic Terrorism

“For almost 20 years, my sideline as a Naval Aviator was working as an Aviation Intelligence Officer. I read the briefings in the DIA’s Fact Book and the Middle East was my area. What you are seeing today has not changed much in the last 50 years or last 10 centuries. Islam is contraindicated by the United States Constitution. Islam is a theocracy, not a religion.” —Massachusetts

Re: “Biden’s Cataclysmic Afghan Failure

“Thank you for the incredible analysis from retired Gen. B.B. Bell. What a remarkable Patriot and true American. Men like Bell shaped our great nation. Many, many thanks to him for his bravery, his service, and his articulation of the truth that so many of us Americans hold so dear. God bless him, God Patriot Post, and God bless America!” —Florida

Re: “Durham Probe: Are Indictments Finally Coming?

“As usual with government in these issues, the investigation takes years, costs the taxpayers a tremendous amount of money, ensures the investigators years of job security, and in the end a janitor gets fired, a secretary goes to jail, and the real culprits sign million-dollar book deals that are really nothing more than graft. Will any big players go to jail? Not Hillary. Not Bill. Not Comey, Brennan, or McCabe. My bet: Clinesmith is the fall guy — the only one who gets any time, and that will be minimal. He will end up with the Clintons making big bucks.” —Nevada

Re: “CDC: Vaccinate Even if Naturally Immune

“Dr. Fauci and the CDC seem to vacillate in the same unscientific way. A virus’s goal is to survive and spread itself. It can’t do that if it kills the host. Hence, viruses generally mutate to be less virulent and more contagious, as has COVID-19. Vaccines, as virus emulators, are made to trick the body into producing antibodies without the disease. They are an aid to help us achieve immunity and to protect the weak. Vaccinated healthy people can catch the Delta variant and then feel as if they have a little cold, but the death rate is acceptably near zero. Delta is a less virulent, more contagious mutation for which herd immunity is the cure.” —Illinois

Re: “Biden’s Vax Goals Not Enough to Stop COVID Spread

“I suspected all along that the '70%’ figure was lowballing by Dr. Fauci to make the program look doable. Population immunity is not an absolute number; it is a probability based on the transmission rate of the pathogen. The Delta variant is supposedly more transmissible, so a greater percentage of immune persons is needed to break up its spread. Eighty percent is the more usual figure for most contagions. That said, mandates are a bad approach. Just present facts and answer the questions with good data instead of censoring them or fudging. The bureaucrats should realize we the people aren’t all stupid. We have good reason to be suspicious of their claims, especially when they don’t match what we learned in high school health class about immunity.” —Minnesota
