The number of job openings in the U.S. hit another record high in July — nearly 11 million — but you wouldn’t know it listening to the Leftmedia.

Too many politicians have ensured the economy continues to struggle to get back on its feet amid the COVID pandemic. The Leftmedia isn’t helping matters with headlines like USA Today’s: “Pandemic safety net shrinking as unemployment benefits expire for millions of Americans.”

Then there’s this intentionally misleading headline from the Associated Press: “Jobless Americans will have few options as benefits expire.”

Few options? Really? The reality is there are nearly 11 million options available to unemployed Americans; they’re called jobs.

This is Leftmedia propaganda for top-down government assistance. This is also a transparent effort to further Democrat demands for raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour. COVID stimulus unemployment benefits often equated to $300 a week on top of state unemployment, meaning many individuals were receiving more money living on the dole than working, and they therefore avoided getting a job. Employers have raised wages to compete with the government for workers, but many remain on the sidelines in large part because inflation has eaten away at wage gains all year long.

The Leftmedia is pushing a big lie — that government must provide for jobless Americans — while ignoring the fact that there would be fewer out-of-work Americans, helping the economy to recover faster, if the government hadn’t been suppressing job growth via benefit checks.

Leftmedia sob stories about unemployed Americans soon finding themselves without a check from Uncle Sam do more to stymie growth than rebuild the economy, but that’s exactly what the goal is. Biden and the Democrats want more people depending on the government, not fewer, because that equates to more votes and more power. And Congress is working on $4.5 trillion in more spending to expand the cradle-to-grave welfare state.

To put it bluntly, unemployed Americans need to get off their keisters and get a job. There are 11 million of them out there to choose from. Pick one and start contributing to society rather than milking it.
