A career criminal was able to post bail after being arrested on domestic abuse charges thanks to the Minnesota Freedom Fund. So what? you may say. Well, he was arrested last week and charged with second degree murder for shooting 38-year-old Luis Martinez Ortiz in a road rage incident last month. But wait, there’s more — the role of America’s vice president.

That career criminal, George Howard, may not have been able to post bail, and Martinez Ortiz would not be dead, if it hadn’t been for Kamala Harris.

While on the campaign trail last year, Harris’s response to Black Lives Matter rioters being arrested during “mostly peaceful protests” was to endorse MMF for helping to provide bail for these rioters. In a social media post on June 1, 2020, Harris wrote, “If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.” She also included a link for donating to MFF, which conveniently linked to ActBlue, a Democratic PAC.

Harris’s endorsement proved to be a massive windfall for MFF, as the organization raked in over $35 million afterwards, including donations from at least 13 of Joe Biden’s staff. For context, in 2018, MFF raised a total of $100,000 according to its tax filing.

Read that again. $100,000 in 2018. $35 million after Harris’s promotion.

The consequences of this are significant. Prior to the Harris endorsement, the average bail funds MFF provided was $342. In other words, bail amounts associated with those charged for petty crime, not violent crime.

It’s apparent that Harris’s endorsement was a politically calculated stunt aimed at placating the extreme leftist base of the Democrat Party, showing her solidarity with BLM and its false narrative of America’s systemically racist law enforcement. Moreover, Harris was hoping to distance herself from her former role and seriously checkered record as California’s attorney general. Law and order matters. Looking to undercut it for political gain should disqualify anyone from holding office.

Now, thanks in part to Harris, a career criminal who should have been sitting behind bars was bailed out and another man is dead. Is it any wonder the Biden administration has kept Kamala in hiding?
