If you want to see and experience great disappointment, look no further than the mainstream American church. Once the strongholds of faith, these institutions have lost their religion by embracing the cult of medical tyranny.

One Atlanta church isn’t even letting members through its doors without proof of vaccination, a temperature check, a mask, and the signing of a waver. A church official at Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church said they are “following the science.” But are they and other churches of the same suit following the example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

As the New Testament explains, Jesus approached people suffering from leprosy — a condition that is contracted by physical contact, respiratory means, and/or the exchange of bodily fluids. This bacterial infection is long term and can result in nerve damage, skin lesions, and the deformity of limbs. As daunting as this condition sounds, Jesus approached these people freely and fearlessly. And by His contacting them, the affected people were healed.

Jesus welcomed these invalids with open arms. So if the present-day church should be the body of Christ, then why can’t the public — the healthy and sick, vaccinated and unvaccinated — be compassionately welcomed into it? Would our Lord and Savior have mandated the jab? Would he have told the leperous to socially distance themselves from Him? According to the Bible, Jesus did his work contrary to the legal “mandates” of that time that recommended leperous people to stay back “100 paces.”

His spiritual works underscore the truth that is God’s perfect biological design, which is, indeed, the only science that should matter to believers. Any talkinghead can make a television appearance and preach the pharmaceutical gospel that only the vaccine can “save” us. (This is being repeated despite conflicting and contradictory messaging suggesting that no COVID vaccine exists that can actually eliminate the viral infection.) The reality is that only God saves. This is not to reject medical advancements, but to fully acknowledge that our Lord reigns supreme over this “science” that seems to shift every few weeks. His truth is constant in a world full of questionable variables that the common man only thinks he comprehends.

Organizations are within their right to exact their medical ultimatums on their congregations. But little are they aware of the great loss of faith they are perpetuating among the people. I’ve met people who have given up on the Christian faith altogether due to the actions of these mainstream churches. While I counsel them to not put their faith in the actions of men, I acknowledge the reality that it is incredibly difficult to practice Christianity without a believing community. In fact, Christians are actually commanded to gather. Perhaps this “new wave” of Christians has a progressive lean that aims to infiltrate and destroy the church from within. I wouldn’t be surprised if this medical oppression is the last-ditch approach used to topple the faith once and for all.

Hebrews 10:24–25 speaks to our commandment to continue gathering: “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

No exceptions or requirements for the sick were mentioned. That’s because it is written that our unwavering faith sets us free from fear, for the Bible tells us so.
