The Patriot Post® · Team Biden Pushes Vaccines for Kids
None of the three COVID vaccines available in the U.S. have been given the green light by the Food and Drug Administration for children under the age of 12. And only the Pfizer shot has been approved for teens under 16. However, that fact hasn’t stopped the Biden administration from aggressively planning to push COVID vaccines onto children ages five to 11 as soon as the FDA gives its approval. Wink, wink.
Joe Biden made his agenda clear in a speech last week given from his White House set. “If authorized, we are ready,” he said. “We have purchased enough vaccines for all children between the ages of 5 and 11 in the United States. It will be convenient for parents to get their children vaccinated at trusted locations, and families will be able to sleep easier at night knowing their kids are protected as well.”
Indeed, according to an NBC News report on the White House rollout, “The Biden administration has purchased 65 million pediatric doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, enough to vaccinate the estimated 28 million children” in this age group. Obviously, for the Biden administration, it’s not a matter of if the FDA grants approval, it’s just a matter of when. And the date for this almost-certain approval looks to be sometime in early November, as an FDA advisory committee is scheduled to meet to discuss the issue on October 26.
The big question is: Why all the urgency to get kids the COVID jab? The data clearly shows that COVID is only a minor health threat toward children ages 0-18, and even less of a threat to children ages 0-11. According to the CDC, 605 children ages 0-18 have died of COVID since the pandemic began. Meanwhile, over that same time span, roughly 50,000 children under the age of 14 have died from all causes. To put this in context, the same number of kids age five and under drowned in pools in 2019 as have died of COVID. Clearly, COVID poses neither a major nor even a significant health threat for children. But that factor hasn’t stop authoritarians like California Governor Gavin Newsom from issuing a COVID vaccine mandate for all children at both public and private schools.
Furthermore, the Biden administration loves relaying the numbers of those who have received the COVID vaccines versus those who remain unvaccinated, yet Team Biden intentionally ignores the important and scientifically significant fact that many of those millions of Americans who remain unvaccinated have already developed natural immunity after having been infected with but recovered from COVID. This would include children.
This is not about the “science,” as Biden loves to declare. Rather, Biden wants the FDA to green light the COVID vaccine for children so that he can expand his vaccine mandate. This serves as yet another power play wherein the government can claim it knows best what’s good for kids more than their parents do. With FDA approval, Biden and the Left can further vilify parents who are already incensed over school mask mandates by adding a COVID vaccine mandate.
