Re: “Baldwin: ‘Prop Gun’ Blame-Shifting”
“Thank you for the informative article about the tragic Baldwin shooting of Ms. Hutchins and Mr. Souza. There needs to be further clarification that ‘prop guns,’ at least like the one Baldwin fired, are fully functional firearms used on a movie set as props. The term ‘prop gun’ may convey to the unknowing that these guns are somehow less dangerous than a real firearm, which is obviously not the case, since they are in many cases a real firearm. Every actor or move set person handling a firearm or prop gun should be required to attend and pass a firearms safety course.” —Washington
“The points made on firearms safety cannot be stressed enough. Baldwin pulled the trigger. He’s at fault, not the gun nor the armorer nor anyone else. The fact that he pointed it at someone proves he hasn’t a clue about firearms safety. He’s simply an incompetent, arrogant, untrained dunce who killed someone on a movie set. The ignorant and fearful media can’t comprehend the simple fact that you can’t unpull a trigger. Firearms safety is always ultimately the responsibility of the person controlling the gun. That is the true meaning of ‘gun control.’” —New York
“OSHA should require firearms safety training for anyone who will handle a firearm, real or simulated, in a theatrical or video production. Better yet, Congress should use its power to regulate the training of the militia and mandate that real military-grade firearms safety training be a part of every high school curriculum.” —Minnesota
“Imagine the media outrage if Clint Eastwood or any conservative entertainer had done this. But Baldwin will be treated as a victim when he alone is the principal cause of this manslaughter.” —Missouri
Re: “NSBA Apologizes for ‘Domestic Terrorist’ Parents Letter”
“The NSBA knew what it was doing when it sent the letter to the AG. The objective was to brand anyone who objects to the teachers unions forcing CRT upon children as a domestic terrorist and Garland took the bait to the hilt on its behalf. Now is the time for parents to take back the education criteria of their children and cleanse the CRT and socialist/communist indoctrination being forced upon our children. School boards are elected officials and accountable to the electorate who placed them there. If they do no respond as parents suggest, then they need to be removed by recalls or new elections.” —Florida
Re: “We Need to Make Our Military Great Again”
“Obesity is not the only disqualification for military service. Poor academic performance, drug abuse, or a criminal record will make a person as undesirable as failure to meet minimum physical standards. But the Left’s relentless attack on moral standards and insistence on fluffy educational fads and political indoctrination instead of serious, well-taught curricula has ruined the potential for at least a third of prospective recruits. It would be interesting to compare readiness for military service between graduates of ‘unwoke’ private schools and graduates of urban public schools. Whether China will give us time for such an academic study is another question. My guess is it will attack Taiwan shortly after the 2022 U.S. election.” —Minnesota
Re: “Puppy Abuse: Your Taxpayer Dollars at Work”
“I literally fought throwing up when I first heard this story on the radio. How could they? Let parasites eat these puppies’ faces and brains while alive with their vocal cords cut?! I have serious allergies to biting ants and stinging bees and wasps. The idea of subjecting puppies to such torture, which I can clearly identify with, makes me sick. If Fauci is connected in any way, he is not a ‘doctor’; he is a MONSTER!” —Washington
“People supporting abortion, particularly partial birth or late term, should be fine with this. But they won’t be. As horrible as this is, innocent human life is more precious. Just saying. Nothing will happen to Fauci, even if he is confirmed to have known about this or let it happen. Can take that to the bank.” —Texas
Re: “Biden’s Humanitarian Disasters”
“Let Texas immediately transport illegal immigrants to Washington, DC, by every means available. It will clearly be the action that finally gets the Biden-Harris administration’s attention.” —Missouri
Re: “‘Rachel’ Levine’s Unfair Promotion”
“As a woman, I am also infuriated by the Left trying to take everything special about being a woman away from us. Men and women are created differently for a reason, and it’s so sad that leftists are encouraging people to pretend to be something they can never be. My daughter has a friend who has been in ‘transition’ since she (going to a ‘he’) was 15! No child should be able to make life-changing decisions that young, and I will keep my comments about her parents to myself. I truly think it’s child abuse.” —South Carolina
Re: “1619 Project Author Says the Quiet Part Out Loud”
“Attorney General Merrick Garland recently asserted: ‘Today, a white family is 30% more likely to own a home than a black family. This present-day gap in home ownership rates is larger than it was in 1960.’ Isn’t it funny that no one is blaming the home ownership gap on government interference?” —Maine
Re: “In Brief: The $10,000 IRS Tax Dragnet”
“Not too long ago, I saw an article in a newspaper that said ‘Many IRS workers have not filed their taxes.’ Instead of bothering people who pay that $600 in rent, why not start with their own workers?” —Nevada
