If Kamala Harris is serious about turning around her tanking popularity, her hanging out with black supremacists may explain why it’s simply an impossible feat. Earlier this week, Harris held a private meeting with members of Black Women Leaders and Allies, which included Cora Masters Barry, wife of the late and former mayor of Washington, DC, Marian Barry. Also in attendance was black activist Melanie Campbell.
For some context on these individuals, shortly following the 2020 election, Barry took part in a Zoom meeting with Rolling Out CEO Munson Steed and Campbell. During the conversation, Barry spewed some serious bile: “F*** the white — excuse me — forget the white women. They’re going to do what the white men tell them to do. … They be smiling in [your face]; they want to stay in charge. … I don’t care nothing about them. We gotta do what we gotta do.”
Expressing her racial animus even further, Barry added, “I’m not saying everyone who voted for Trump is wearing a white sheet, but they got one in their closet and it comes out when we start messing with the economic value or the balance of power.”
During that same meeting, Barry also stated that her group’s goal was “to start organizing to make sure that the next president of the United States is a black woman.” That’s a fine goal for an activist organization. Except that she explained her motives have a racist tinge: “That’s not going to happen if we don’t reach all of our black people because they’re the ones who are going to put her in there. Those white folks ain’t gonna put her in there.”
Right. After all, white folks had nothing at all to do with electing Barack Obama. Twice.
Campbell has also expressed support for blatantly racist individuals such as Women’s March co-chair Tamika Mallory, who has referred to Louis Farrakhan, the anti-Semitic leader of the Nation of Islam, as the GOAT (greatest of all time). Back in 2018, Campbell praised Mallory in a social media post: “Black women all over the nation and Diaspora stand [in] solidarity and support of our sister leader Tamika D Mallory.”
What’s clear is that both these women hold racial supremacist views and prejudices against other races, and in particular against white people.
Apparently, Harris’s intention for meeting with these black women is an effort on her part to build up her black credibility, as she is deeply unpopular even in the black community. Her record of locking up minorities as California attorney general has not been forgotten.
The great hypocrisy here has to do with the fact that both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris excoriated Donald Trump, labeling him a white supremacist for daring to suggest that there were “very fine people” on both sides of the argument over the Robert E. Lee statue in Charlottesville, Virginia. Biden and Harris falsely claimed Trump was expressing support for the white supremacist rioters, and he then faced repeated demands from their Leftmedia propagandists to denounce white supremacists. He did so on multiple occasions. Meanwhile, Harris seemingly has no problem hobnobbing with racist advocates of black supremacy and anti-Semitism. Trump speaks the truth and is called a racist; Harris invites actual racists to join her in a private meeting and there’s crickets from the mainstream media.
