Biden cans toxic science adviser: A top White House scientist resigned on Monday following allegations of bullying. Eric Lander turned in his walking papers following public revelations of an internal investigation into complaints of his mistreatment of staff, specifically female staff. Lander, who just last week was with Joe Biden during the relaunch of his Cancer Moonshot project, had offered a public apology, and it initially appeared the White House would take no more action. However, after staff complaints that Biden’s promise to “fire on the spot” anyone who “treat[s] another colleague with disrespect” or “talk[s] down to someone” appeared to be mere “empty political rhetoric,” Lander’s goose was cooked.
Antifa behind SUV attack on Freedom Convoy: When Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau falsely smeared the Freedom Convoy — which is made up of truckers and others protesting his draconian vaccine mandates — not only was he spreading misinformation, but he was also effectively blowing a leftist dog whistle. Over the weekend, an SUV plowed into a group of Freedom Convoy protesters, injuring four people. It was no accident; it was an act of terror carried out by a 42-year-old antifa thug with a litany of sexual assault allegations, including pedophilia. This explains why there has been little reporting on the attack by the MSM.
IRS backs down on creepy facial recognition plan: The IRS announced that it was abandoning a plan to use facial recognition tech on taxpayers after it received bipartisan blowback from Congress. The IRS claimed its intention for the now-abandoned plan was for security purposes in an effort to prevent scammers from accessing taxpayers’ personal records. As IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig explained: “The IRS takes taxpayer privacy and security seriously, and we understand the concerns that have been raised. Everyone should feel comfortable with how their personal information is secured, and we are quickly pursuing short-term options that do not involve facial recognition.” Security is a growing concern for the IRS, which noted in 2019 that the agency faces an annual average of 1.4 million cyberattacks. Yet the implementation of facial recognition tech actually opens a whole new can of worms of potential problems and dangers, as well as massive privacy violation implications. In fact, the General Services Administration, which is responsible for handling basic services for the federal government, itself refuses to employ facial recognition tech as the agency doesn’t trust that it would be used appropriately.
Biden clears crack pipes for “racial equity”: Evidently, minority Americans don’t have the same access to “safe” crack pipes that white Americans do. A $30 million grant program that will be overseen by Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services will distribute funds to local governments and nonprofits for the purpose of helping drug addicts get clean “smoking kits/ supplies.” Organizations focusing on serving “underserved communities” are to be prioritized for receiving these grants expressly for “advancing racial equity.” Rather than spending millions in taxpayer dollars on “safer” crack pipes, wouldn’t that money be better spent on efforts to help get people off the crack pipe?
