The Patriot Post® · What's Biden Been Hidin' in Delaware?
Joe Biden was in Delaware again this weekend, and once again we have no idea who visited him there. International businessmen connected to his son, Hunter? Neurological specialists? No idea.
We know this because the U.S. Secret Service has told us as much, dubiously claiming that it has “no records” of visitors to Biden’s two Delaware residences and therefore no ability to share that information in response to a Freedom of Information Act request from the New York Post.
That’s right: The Secret Service, which is famous for knowing the exact whereabouts of the U.S. president at all times — and for protecting him at all times — can’t even tell us who’s been dropping by Biden’s Wilmington mansion or his Rehoboth Beach house. The Post sought more than a year’s worth of visitor log records, but Secret Service Freedom of Information Act officer Kevin Tyrrell wrote back, “The Secret Service FOIA Office searched all Program Offices that were likely to contain potentially responsive records, and no records were located.”
Maybe it’s just the six grandkids they acknowledge, right? Last year, when a precious few curious journalists began to wonder about all the time that Biden had been in Delaware — almost 100 days during his first year in office — White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters, “I can confirm we are not going to be providing information about the comings and goings of the president’s grandchildren or people visiting him in Delaware.”
Psaki piled it on, obviously trying to shame the media from even daring to ask such questions: “The president goes to Delaware because it’s his home,” Psaki said in January. “It’s a place that is obviously close to his heart,” adding, “You like going home, right? So does the president. He’s human, too. … And it’s also where his son and his former wife are buried.”
So: When in Delaware, Joe Biden visits the grandkids and the dearly departed. And that’s it.
To be fair, this isn’t the first time a sitting president has been tight-lipped about who’s visiting him. As the Post reports, “The group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) successfully sued to obtain limited records pertaining to a Japanese delegation visit to former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, but the records weren’t detailed.”
Of course, Trump had a different reason for refusing to share the names of certain folks he was meeting with at the White House and at Mar-a-Lago: He wanted to protect their identities and thereby protect them and their businesses from being harassed or boycotted — which the Mob was famous for doing. As NBC News reported, Trump had to dissolve two of his economic advisory councils “after a rash of CEOs resigned in the wake of his response to a white nationalist attack in Charlottesville, Virginia.” You remember that incident: the one in which the mainstream press falsely and brazenly and repeatedly lied about Trump having compared statue topplers to white supremacists as “very fine people on both sides.”
As for Biden, CREW spokesperson Jordan Libowitz didn’t seem terribly interested: “I have not seen any reporting that there is a ton of official business and outside meetings being done when Biden goes to his personal residence in Delaware for the weekend, mainly just going to church,” he said. “If he were meeting with foreign heads of state at his house in Delaware, that would obviously be a different matter, though.”
Right, a different matter. Sort of like how meeting with Hunter Biden’s business associates would be a different matter — one Joe Biden has every incentive not to record, by the way. But since this watchdog group “hasn’t seen any reporting” about what’s going on in Delaware, there just must not be anything going on in Delaware. If there were, Biden’s mainstream media Praetorian Guard would tell us, right?
Right?
