The Patriot Post® · On Gas Prices, Biden Says the Quiet Part Out Loud
Joe Biden’s agenda when it comes to America’s energy is similar to his border policy — say one thing and do the opposite. With the border, the Biden administration has effectively implemented a de facto open-borders policy, which has resulted in more than two million illegal border crossings (that we know of), as well as record numbers of migrants caught crossing month after month. At the same time, the administration is pushing to end the Title 42 policy, with the only logical purpose being to increase the volume of migrants illegally entering the U.S. Meanwhile, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas repeatedly insists that there is no border crisis and that everything is under control.
Biden’s energy policy is decidedly anti-fossil fuel. Indeed, recall that on the campaign trail Biden said, “We are going to get rid of fossil fuels.”
Fast-forward to today, and that plan is well underway, with prices at the pump topping $4.00 a gallon on average across the entire nation and setting records daily for the last two weeks. Of course, high gas prices are not exactly popular with Americans, so the Biden administration has been spinning the blame on Vladimir Putin and his invasion of Ukraine, as well as on those “greedy” oil companies.
But the truth is that, like the immigration crisis, this was the Biden administration’s plan from the beginning. And Biden admitted as much when he recently responded to a question about the high price of gas:
When it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over.
An “incredible transition” is the key takeaway from Biden’s comment. It explains why his administration has continued to work to shut down any new efforts for gas and oil companies to expand their drilling and extraction processes within the U.S. It explains why Biden has continued to block drilling on federal lands and why administration officials are going to the likes of Venezuela to procure needed oil.
The goal is clear: Force the nation to end its dependence on fossil fuels by strong-arming the leftist environmental pipe dream of a carbon-neutral future. In other words, force the impossible. The only winners in this scenario are America’s biggest geopolitical foes, China and Russia. Which just might be why both those nations have been heavily engaged in funding the promotion of anti-fossil fuel propaganda here in America, an ideology that neither of them would ever be foolish enough to adhere to.
