Things are tough all over in Joe Biden’s America.

Take white supremacists, for example. Their numbers are scarce, their reputation is awful, and Biden blames them for practically everything.

But it’s even worse than that. Reputable organizations have now taken to exaggerating their evil impact. As RealClearInvestigations reports:

In May 2021, two members of the Family Values, a white supremacist prison gang, allegedly killed a member of the rival Southwest Honkeys prison gang over a longstanding beef. Three months later, a New Jersey man who had vandalized synagogues and distributed neo-Nazi pamphlets strangled his wife.

On the surface, the crimes would appear to have little more in common than their brutality. But the Anti-Defamation League includes these murders by white men of other whites in its tally of right-wing and white supremacist murders in its report, “Murder & Extremism in the United States in 2021.”

“In 2021, white supremacists were responsible for more murders than any other type of extremist; in many years, they comprised an outright majority of the extremist murders that year,” the report said. “Indeed, over the past 10 years, white supremacists have committed 244 (55%) of the 443 killings that the ADL (COE) has documented.”

So it appears that the ADL is cooking the books on white racist murders. Which leads us to ask: What’s a vile racist got to do to get an even break around here?

And consider the relative paucity of those numbers: Every murder is one too many, of course, but just 244 white extremist killings over the past 10 years? As the RCI report notes: “During the same 10-year period cited by the ADL in its 2021 report citing 244 murders by white supremacists, there were at least 165,000 murders in the U.S., meaning those the group attributes to white supremacists accounted for .001% of such violent deaths in that decade.”

Or, to put it another way: Last year alone, more than 105,000 Americans died of drug overdoses.

This isn’t to celebrate the evil deeds of the extremists among us, but it’s clear that their influence isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. But the media is playing right along. Here’s how the Associated Press reported things a year ago, in the wake of the Biden administration’s hysterics:

The Department of Homeland Security plans to ramp up social media tracking as part of an enhanced focus on domestic violent extremism. While the move is a response to weaknesses exposed by the deadly U.S. Capitol insurrection, it’s raising concerns about undermining Americans’ civil liberties.

President Joe Biden’s top appointees have called white supremacists the greatest security threat to the country and are pushing for bolstered intelligence gathering. Closely watching are advocates for communities of color and groups that have previously been the focus of intensified surveillance, sometimes unlawfully.

“The greatest security threat to the country”?

Please.

No, we haven’t forgotten about the mentally disturbed 18-year-old white supremacist who murdered 10 blacks and injured three others at a Buffalo market on May 14. Nor the 2015 murder of nine congregants at a black church in Charleston, South Carolina, by white supremacist Dylann Roof. Nor the murder of 11 at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue in 2018. Nor the 2019 rampage at an El Paso Walmart, which left 23 dead and 23 wounded. The point is: These awful episodes are covered extensively in the media, but they’re exceedingly rare in the larger scope. Furthermore, they’re meant to divide us. This is certainly the goal of the assailants, but the mainstream media and their Democrat Party partners are no less complicit in sowing that division.

As The New York Post editorial board put it: “We don’t doubt that Democratic officials across the country get a ton of nasty hate mail and social-media abuse. But so do Republicans — it’s the world we all live in now. By endlessly flogging a menace that plainly doesn’t exist on any meaningful scale, all Team Biden is doing is feeding paranoia and deepening the nation’s divisions.”

As our Mark Alexander has noted, this is all about Joe Biden’s “white supremacy” bogeyman, and it’s all an effort to divide us by race, and distract us from the very real, very serious issues facing our nation.

We shouldn’t fall for it.
