January 6 Committee to hold unscheduled hearing claiming “new evidence”: The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade effectively knocked Nancy Pelosi’s J6 sham investigation and show trail off the mainstream media front pages. Ergo, in an effort to regain her place on the stage, the J6 Committee announced on Monday a sudden “unplanned” hearing for today citing “new evidence” related to the Capitol riot. The announcement came as a surprise, as the committee had previously signaled it didn’t plan to hold additional hearings until July, and the previous hearings had been scheduled well in advance. The new witness is Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to Donald Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows. She had already provided video-recorded testimony to the committee, and it’s unknown what “new” information she’s expected to present. But the likely target is Justice Clarence Thomas via his wife, Ginni, who had expressed to Meadows her concerns regarding the 2020 electoral process prior to the January 6 riot. There is absolutely no evidence Ginni was involved in any organized protest; rather, she was communicating her opinion regarding the election. It appears that Pelosi and company are trying to leverage Ginni’s “involvement” with Meadows to gin up a conspiracy that implicates Justice Thomas in order to justify calls for his impeachment.
NY Supreme Court rebukes NYC over noncitizen vote: Last December, the New York City Council passed a resolution granting legal noncitizens the right to vote in local elections. “Our City, Our Vote” became law in January, effectively adding 800,000 new noncitizen voters to the city. State Republicans objected to the enfranchisement of noncitizens by pointing to the Empire State’s constitution, which expressly notes that only qualified citizens have the right to vote. The New York Supreme Court agreed with Republicans, issuing its ruling that the city’s noncitizen voting law is unconstitutional. “The New York State Constitution expressly states that citizens meeting the age and residency requirements are entitled to register and vote in elections,” Justice Ralph J. Porzio observed. “Though voting is a right so many citizens take for granted, the City of New York cannot ‘obviate’ the restrictions imposed by the Constitution.” City Council minority leader Joseph Borelli praised the ruling: “Today’s decision validates those of us who can read the plain English words of our state constitution and state statutes: Noncitizen voting in New York is illegal, and shame on those who thought they could skirt the law for political gain. Opposition to this measure was bipartisan and cut across countless neighborhood and ethnic lines, yet progressives chose to ignore both our constitution and public sentiment in order to suit their aims. I commend the court in recognizing reality and reminding New York’s professional protestor class that the rule of law matters.”
Our woke speech-suppressing Navy: Having apparently fully embraced the radical gender ideology of the Left, the U.S. Navy recently updated its harassment policy to include the “crime” of “misgendering,” otherwise known as using accurate pronouns to describe an individual’s biological sex rather than his or her expressed “gender identity.” Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, sailors who intentionally “misgender” sailors will be subject to discipline. “Intentional misuse of transgender service member pronouns is inappropriate and inconsistent with the Navy zero tolerance policy on harassment,” says Navy Capt. Dave Hecht, a public affairs officer. “The UCMJ prohibits provoking speeches or gestures, conduct that is of a nature to bring discredit upon the Armed Forces or is prejudicial to good order and discipline, maltreatment, and failure to obey lawful orders and regulations.” Hecht further noted that the Navy “appreciates that pronouns are a part of individual identity” and that “an individual’s pronouns [are] consistent with their gender marker.” Senator Marsha Blackburn ripped the Navy’s bow to the Rainbow Mafia, contending, “Our adversaries … don’t give a ripping flip about classes on choosing pronouns, or how woke the U.S. military is.” She added: “The U.S. military is there to protect this country. It is there to learn how to fight, to fight wars and to win. That is their job." Cleary, fighting for free speech is not in the Navy’s purview, either.
