Climate activists of the extreme variety have become more prevalent and visible as their political usefulness increases. These ecoterrorists head a doomsday cult that ultimately worships nature. They so ardently believe that the world is about to be destroyed by man-made climate change that they are lashing out desperately in an attempt to bring about the change they want to see.
This year has been one for the books as stunt after stunt has made headlines.
In April, a climate activist set himself on fire in front of the Supreme Court to “bring attention to the climate crisis.”
In May, a French male activist dressed as a woman attacked a picture of Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa” at the Louvre. When he couldn’t get through the bullet-proof glass, he smeared the glass with cake — all while people filmed his actions with their phones instead of attempting to stop him.
In early June, also in France, a young woman delayed a match between tennis players Casper Ruud and Milan Cilic because she attached herself to the net with metal and glue. She also wore a shirt declaring that we only have 1,098 days left.
A couple weeks later in Italy, protesters blocked the main road into Rome to display their objection to fossil fuels. The Italians promptly dragged them off the freeway.
Just this week at the Royal Academy in London, anti-oil activists superglued their hands to the frame of da Vinci’s “Last Supper.” In the past, Just Stop Oil, the group behind the stunt, attacked other paintings by other artistic masters such as Vincent van Gogh, John Constable, and J.M.W. Turner.
It’s interesting to note they wantonly choose to attack pieces by long-dead masters that are depictions of beauty. Notice they aren’t glueing themselves to modern artistic pieces wherein beauty isn’t the central purpose. You can see the metaphor they are trying to draw: humans destroy beauty, especially that of nature. This, however, is not going to change people’s minds about climate change. Just like the graffiti on crisis pregnancy centers, it’s more likely to push people toward the other side of the argument rather than their own.
The uptick in these protests isn’t really surprising. After all, it’s tied to the larger globalist agenda. It has links to the World Economic Forum and the Great Reset. All social and cultural ills can be traced back to climate change rhetoric in one way or another. Take this article from The Guardian, which says violence against women is the result of climate change. In the States, famous voices like Bill Gates are encouraging people not to have children or even advocating abortion due to their carbon footprint — all while they leave a much larger carbon footprint than any average child could make.
Gender is tied to climate change. Racism? Also climate change.
The doomsday cult of environmentalism is in many ways the linchpin for all bad ideas. It uses the threat of impending apocalypse to cajole elites, misanthropes, and gullible well-meaning environment lovers into all sorts of evil. It has gained an inordinate amount of power and credibility despite the multitude of earth-ending claims that change whenever a prediction fails to align with their version of “reality.” Its very prevalence has given license for these crazy cult followers to commit acts of selfishness. They offer no real solutions, just destruction and blind fear.
