Re: “The ‘Arbiters of Truth’ Hack The Patriot Post Rating, Again

“Thank you for explaining how ‘NewsGuard’ (sic) suppresses free speech. Every day I read The Wall Street Journal and The Patriot Post and listen to Fox News. I had no idea that NewsGuard and other news raters and fact-checkers had this much influence on limiting the reach of The Patriot Post on social media. Most social media users have no idea the impact of these ‘arbiters of truth,’ and Republicans in DC need to pay a lot more attention to this issue. The fact that these outfits can prevent those on social media from seeing Patriot Post content — even though they have specifically selected to see your content — is astounding, as is your data indicating Facebook has limited your reach to 750,000 followers by 95%. Republicans better wake up.” —New York

“NewsGuard founder Steven Brill is a hard-left ideologue, and NewsGuard reflects this reality. It applies bad ratings to many excellent conservative sites like Fox News and The Federalist while giving high ‘trustworthy’ ratings to CNN, NPR, The New York Times, The Washington Post, etc. The Patriot Post is in good company, and the nation needs to understand how social media is shadow-banning content. Until Congress acts to level the playing field, millions of Americans won’t know what they can’t see.” —Minnesota

Re: “Biden Resurrects DoJ’s Deep State Cabal

“The president was not briefed, he was not aware of [the raid at Mar-a-Lago]. No one at the White House was given a heads-up.” —White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre

“This statement is neither credible nor vindicating. An FBI director raiding the home of a former president without the prior approval of the current White House would be tantamount to the commander of a Navy ship deciding on his own to launch a missile strike at Kim Jong Un. The fact that Biden did not immediately fire Christopher Wray is proof Biden knew. The administration’s culpability in this outrageous raid is bad enough, but it’s wrong to think ‘it wasn’t us, it was just a rogue Department of Justice we have no control over’ is somehow better.” —Georgia

Re: “The Dems’ EV Tax Credit Scam

“If the Green New Deal folks get their way, they can say, ‘We had to destroy the environment in order to save it.’ Because in the final analysis, whenever the ‘Green New Deal’ is completely built, in its wake will be unimaginable damage to the environment. Everything required to build the solar panels, wind turbines, and transmission lines will necessarily be dug out of the ground. The enormous damage to the landscape, water, and air will end up leaving us worse off.” —California

“Where have we seen this before? Congress announces a subsidy or tax credit so people can buy an overpriced, congressionally preferred product. The price goes up. Congress repeats, and the price goes up again. Oh, yeah. College tuition goes up every time Congress increases higher education grants and loan guarantees. Healthcare prices go up every time Congress increases Medicaid funding. Why should it be any different this time around? A corollary to the old rule that if you subsidize something you get more of it is that if you subsidize the purchase of high-priced items you get higher prices.” —Minnesota

Re: “The CDC Discovers Natural Immunity

“Next, we’re finally going to hear that we should have been making sure we have enough Vitamin D to ward off serious illness from COVID-19. This will be hailed as a brand-new discovery by Mr. Biden’s CDC (never mind that it’s been known in Europe and India since 2020), and the CDC itself published a paper on the relationship between Vitamin D deficiency and pulmonary infections in general more than a decade ago.” —Minnesota

Re: “The Crisis of Generation Z

“Another cause of this crisis: prescription medication. Too many parents, teachers, and doctors are quick to fill children with mind-altering drugs instead of working to improve the child’s study habits and/or behavior. It is easier to drug a child than spend time with that child.” —Florida

Re: “Wednesday Short Cuts

“Mike Pompeo is right — they will come after you next. The plan behind turning thousands of IRS tyrants loose against middle-class citizens is two-fold: to destroy small businesses (which the Marxists got a good start on with COVID), and to wipe out the $200,000-or-less middle class. This will create a true Marxist paradise, wherein the rich elite are at the top and the peons kept here below, with never a chance to ‘get ahead.’” —Pennsylvania

Re: “Friday Short Cuts

“The 87,000 IRS goons will be turned loose on citizens making $200,000 or less a year. That’s your son and his wife who have worked and scrimped and saved so their child can attend college; that’s the small businessman who is just getting back on his feet after COVID; that’s the nonprofit conservative and Christian groups that will be singled out for audits. And that’s how the Dems plan to cripple potential Trump donors.” —Pennsylvania
