Cross-Examination

  • Record illegal immigration totals for FY2022: Thanks to Joe Biden’s open-border immigration policy, the number of migrants illegally crossing the U.S. southern border hit record levels this fiscal year. So far, U.S. Border Patrol agents have arrested 1.82 million migrants, besting last year’s record of 1.66 million. With two months still remaining in FY2022, if things continue as they have been, there will have been over two million illegals apprehended in a single year, shattering the previous record. As one Border Patrol agent described it, “We’re apprehending people left and right.” Roughly 70% of those migrants caught illegally crossing are single adults. The number of repeat crossers has risen to one in four, thanks ironically to the Title 42 policy that allows for the immediate deportation of those apprehended but forgoes any legal penalty, fueling repeat offenders. Border security expert Adam Isacson observes, “We have never seen numbers like this, and Title 42 is in full effect.”

  • ChiComs are waging war using fentanyl: Last month alone, U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized over 2,000 pounds of fentanyl being illegally transported into the country. That amount of fentanyl set a new monthly record, outdoing the previous record set in April by over 60%. To put things in perspective, that amount of fentanyl is enough to kill every single American and then some. Of course, this amount is that which the Border Patrol has seized, so who knows how much more fentanyl has made it into the U.S. undetected. And those behind this flood of fentanyl hitting the U.S. are the Chinese communists, who are the drug cartels’ primary supplier. From China’s perspective, this is a war in which it is effectively engaged in killing tens of thousands of Americans annually. And Biden’s open-border policy has only exacerbated the problem.

  • Facebook joins Twitter to censor 2022 midterm campaigns: It comes as no shock that Meta, Facebook’s parent company, has joined Twitter in its effort to censor political speech just as the midterm campaigns are hitting the homestretch. Using the talking point of seeking to prevent “misinformation,” Meta will be targeting “misleading narratives” for suppression on its platforms, which includes not only Facebook but also Instagram and WhatsApp. Meta explains that it has put together a “dedicated team focused on the 2022 midterms to help combat election and voter interference.” Furthermore, the social media giant admits that it is colluding with the federal government to censor speech: “We’re working with federal government partners including the FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, as well as local and state election officials and industry peers, to make sure we’re all preparing for different scenarios.” Meta notes that it will be using 10 “fact-checking” outfits to help it “address viral misinformation.” Modern America is looking more and more like 1984 every passing day.
