Poet Maya Angelou was quoted as saying; “When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.” That’s why when President Joe Biden pledged during his inaugural message to unify the country, I didn’t believe a word he said. He has lived up to every expectation I had of him, which, quite honestly, was a very low bar. Very low!

After all, if we just went by his campaign alone, we could pretty much count on his being a grumpy old man after he assumed office. I mean, “Come on, man.” Calling a young woman a lying dog-faced pony soldier, getting in the face of a union worker and saying “I don’t work for you,” and wanting to take Trump out back and punch him in the nose — what did we expect?

I’m guessing Joe wants to be an overachiever because he’s gone postal on nearly half the country. According to him, anyone who voted for Trump is not a Patriot but an enemy of the State. That sure eliminated his promise to be everyone’s president, even those who did not vote for him (which we all knew was a lie).

Now the rhetoric from Joe on down to his lowest-level minions consists of rants of Republicans being evil, racist, semi-fascist, un-patriotic, white supremacist, ultra-MAGA lowlifes. I can understand the need for all of the rhetoric. I mean, if you don’t have any sort of record to run on, you need to have a Plan B, right?

Let’s face it: Biden and his whole Democrat Party can’t run on their accomplishments. We have the highest inflation in over 40 years and we’re in a recession, no matter how they try to redefine it. Just about anything the average family needs to get by — gas, groceries, utilities — cost more now than before Joe took office. Americans are postponing retirement and working extra jobs to get by because their retirement accounts shrink nearly every month. What else can a good socialist/Marxist do but throw excrement at the wall and see what sticks?

No one believes it’s because of “Putin’s war.” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre keeps blaming the Trump administration for everything going wrong. That has an even shorter shelf life than when Obama blamed Bush for all of his problems. So Plan B is to blame half the country for being evil, racist, and [fill in the blank] for wanting to overthrow “democracy.” I’m starting to get nauseous whenever Biden or Pelosi or [again, fill in the blank] says Republicans are trying to overthrow democracy.

We have become a constitutionally illiterate country. A legal immigrant who comes to this country the right way knows more about the Constitution than most of our elected officials. That includes a lot of Republicans as well.

All we’re going to hear until November 8 is how evil half the country is. But don’t pay any attention to the billions — actually trillions now — of our tax dollars being used for every conceivable scam possible. Don’t worry about the Justice Department and FBI being used as Biden’s personal police force. Forget the millions of illegal immigrants flooding the border. It’s all good! Joe said so!
