The Patriot Post® · The Ulta-mate Betrayal
Ulta Beauty, a company that sells beauty products, is facing backlash from angry women customers for an episode of its company podcast, “The Beauty of…” In the now infamous episode, Ulta features host David Lopez — who is wearing a long blond wig and also has a full beard and says he has been gender fluid for two years— and the interviewee, TikTok star and transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. Mulvaney identifies as a girl but is a biological adult male.
Lopez and Mulvaney discuss many things ranging from canopy beds to what femininity is to them to revealing that Mulvaney wants to be a mother and that he “absolutely can.”
Political podcaster Allie Beth Stuckey said in response to that particular claim: “‘I want to be a mother one day, and I absolutely can.’ No, you cannot. You can buy all the eggs, rent all the wombs, and wear all the makeup you want, but you cannot be a mother. And that’s ok. Accept who you are and don’t try to be something you can’t.”
Women view what Ulta did as perpetuating the harmful ideology of transgenderism, erasing women, perpetuating fetishism, and “woman face” (the gender appropriation equivalent of “blackface”). These angry women demanded that other self-respecting women boycott the beauty company.
Ulta had to turn off comments on social media platforms like Youtube and Instagram and hide some comments on Twitter.
This was an astoundingly bad move on the part of the company. The main consumer of its products are women. Promoting two men to mansplain girlhood on its podcast is literally the most patriarchy thing imaginable. Ulta just sees the potential dollar signs.
Ulta is the latest company to try to cash in on the transgender craze that is tearing our young people to shreds (sometimes literally). Transgenderism is big business. Target has a clothing line that offers chest binders and padded underwear; pharmaceutical companies are about to peddle their cross-sex hormones to an ever-widening consumer base; and hospitals are opening “gender clinics” to increase their bottom line with horrific surgeries and guaranteed lifelong patients. Regarding the latter point, Grandview Research issued a market analysis report that had the receipts: “The U.S. sex reassignment surgery market size was valued at USD 1.9 billion in 2021 and is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.23% from 2022 to 2030.”
Ulta wants a piece of that pie and it’ll use people like Lopez and Mulvaney to get it.
Mulvaney is also being used as the latest popularity prop by President Joe Biden. He, along with a panel of six other “young people,” recently asked the president questions regarding cultural battlegrounds. In Mulvaney’s social media post about the experience, he sports a pre-interview “trans” activism T-shirt, and post-interview he encourages his eight million followers to go vote because “it’s the most important elections in our lifetime.”
Ulta committed the ultimate act of betrayal by allowing men to presume they know anything about being a girl or a woman. Womanhood is more than the skin-deep interpretations that Lopez and Mulvaney seem to think is sufficient.
