This is what happens when you have illogical and irrational people looking at an issue. They fail to place things in context; they try to repair things by using the original failed concept (as an example: affirmative action, which is discrimination against a different group), and they think everything will be great if we steal (tax) those who had nothing to do with the mistake and pay those who were NOT harmed. Thank you, Joe Biden, for continuing to demonstrate that we have fools running our government. —Rhode Island

Democrats use slavery to divide us from one another based on the color of our skin. There is no such thing as a “black” race or a “white” race; there is only one race: the human race. Whether Adam or Lucy, we have one common ancestor. The old tactic of “divide and conquer” is at play here. As long as they can keep people distracted with hatred, their schemes can succeed. True: Democrats were, and are, the party of slavery, segregation, voter suppression (anyone else remember poll taxes?), and violence against blacks. I grew up in the ‘50s and '60s in AL. I saw it all. Then after JFK started the fight for civil rights, the Dems saw an opportunity: enter LBJ with his vote-buying scheme. I pray that black folks wake up and see the truth! —Alabama

Joe Biden and his wealthy progressive Democrat comrades love America for all the wealth, perks, and upper political power status they enjoy. They would rather the foreign hordes coming across the sieve we used to call our southern border occupy it than the citizens whose ancestors made our constitutional republic the greatest in the world. —North Carolina

Amen! I agree 100%. Over my 30+ years in the Navy, I collected dozens of immunization shots, especially prior to deployments. These were not voluntary, but I readily took them as a precaution against known illnesses and diseases in the deployment areas. When someone as high up on the brass chain as SecDef Austin demands troops get the shot, or else, then it makes one wonder why that has to be. It’s a shame our next-to-worthless Congress didn’t see fit to reinstate those ousted from the military. We lost more than a few good men and women. —Washington

It’s simple — Democrats are afraid of losing their dictatorial power and they are hiding the evidence which shows that power was the sole reason for all the pandemic BS. Here in PA, Tom Wolf became an autocrat overnight when he closed down the state (except his own family business) and assumed powers that the spineless legislature would not point out were not legally his to exercise. Thank God for Ron DeSantis, who has a brain, integrity, and commitment to the citizens of his state along with an understanding of the need for justice when a crime has occurred. —Pennsylvania

These kids are used to getting “participation trophies.” It’s no wonder they feel entitled. The first person who decided that trophies should be handed out like candy rather than earned should have been told to shut up and go home instead of being lauded for coming up with a way to prevent anyone from ever feeling bad. Ultimately, colleges will go out of business considering the ongoing lowering of standards for every profession so that literally anyone can walk in off the street and demand to be a lawyer, a doctor, or whatever. You reap what you sow. —Pennsylvania

Nuclear fusion would be a wonderful way to produce electricity, although fission can already do that. And that little pencil eraser-sized fuel cost more than $1 million. But what the scientists can do tells us nothing about what is required by the engineers to take this technology to production. How is the heat generated by fusion converted into steam to drive turbine generators? I was a reactor operator on the Navy’s nuclear subs, and I also have an engineering degree, so I fully understand the entire process from fission to steam. —Colorado
