Cross-Examination

  • Biden had “no regrets” just before more docs found: Last Thursday, Joe Biden was once again pressed for comments regarding the brewing scandal vis-à-vis his apparent mishandling of classified documents found at both his DC think tank and his home in Wilmington, Delaware. “I think you’re going to find there’s nothing there,” Biden stated, obtusely adding, “I have no regrets.” Just two days later, the Justice Department came in to comb through Biden’s Delaware home in response to objections raised over his private attorneys conducting the searches, and it found another tranche of classified documents. According to his attorneys, who were on hand during this latest search, some of the “newly” discovered classified documents date all the way back to Biden’s time as a senator in 2008. Biden still claims he’s “fully cooperating” with the National Archives and the DOJ. Of course, this display of hypocrisy between the DOJ’s treatment of Donald Trump versus Biden is so blatant that even the Leftmedia is having a hard time excusing it. Questions over the national security implications of these classified documents have gone conveniently unanswered, even as the supposed general content of the documents Trump held were leaked to the media. Furthermore, with Biden having held these documents for years, questions are raised regarding chain of custody failures. The White House should stop falsely claiming that Biden takes “classified documents seriously” when it is obvious that he doesn’t. Given this reality, the DOJ should also search Biden’s Rehoboth beach house.

  • Minnesota infanticide: Democrats in Minnesota are on the cusp of passing one of the most expansive abortion bills in the U.S., which Democrat Governor Tim Walz is expected to sign. Dubbed the Protect Reproductive Options Act (PROA), the bill would not only eliminate all previous state limits on abortions up until birth and even after, but it also seeks to expand the abortion industry via the use of taxpayer funding. Renee Carlson, general counsel at True North Legal, spoke against the bill, observing that if it passes, “Cattle and reptiles will have more legal protections in Minnesota than Minnesota’s vulnerable preborn children.” PROA removes born-alive protections for babies who survive botched abortions known as the Born Alive Infants Protection Act and effectively declares the child as not a human person. The bill would also lift Minnesota’s statute barring taxpayer funding of abortion providers. Moreover, the legislation would remove the current state requirement of reporting a woman’s death as a result of an abortion procedure, and it would eliminate the rule mandating the reporting of an abortion, making it difficult to acquire accurate data on abortion. Along with several other measures expanding abortion, the PROA would make The Land of 10,000 Lakes one of the most dangerous places for preborn children.

  • California hit-and-run driver killed: In an instance of what might best be described as poetic justice, the teenage criminal who intentionally ran a car into a mother walking her baby across a street in a stroller in 2021, a crime for which he received a lenient sentence, was killed in Palmdale, California. Seventeen-year-old Kristopher Baca was shot to death while standing in a driveway following an argument at a restaurant earlier in the day. Baca, who had a history of criminal acts, was 15 when he stole the car he used to hit the mother and her child, who both thankfully survived the attack. Los Angeles’s infamous soft-on-crime leftist District Attorney George Gascon refused to seek any significant charges against Baca for his murderous act, instead sending him to a diversionary camp for a few months. At the time, the victim, only identified as Rachel, blasted Gascon by noting that he “doesn’t value my life or the life of my child, or any other victim out there, and would rather reward the monsters like [the juvenile suspect] by demonstrating to them that their actions have no consequences.” Upon learning of Baca’s death, Rachel observed, “I think I feel shorted by the system because they didn’t hold him accountable and sad, not for him, but for his mom a little, because if George Gascón actually did his job this kid would still be alive in jail.” Indeed.
