Does Pfizer, the world’s third-biggest pharmaceutical company, really consider the COVID-19 plague, which has so far killed more than one million* Americans and nearly seven million people worldwide, “a cash cow for us for awhile going forward”? Moreover, is “directed evolution” merely a Pfizer euphemism for “gain-of-function research”?

We don’t know the answers to these questions, but we ought to consider them given the latest investigative effort of Project Veritas, in which an unguarded Pfizer exec was caught uttering one inconvenient truth after another, ostensibly in an effort to impress his date.

That Pfizer exec, one Jordon Trishton Walker, is Pfizer’s “director of research and development for strategic operations and mRNA scientific planning.” Or at least he was. Or will have been when Pfizer takes stock of the damage he’s done to the company. Here’s just a sample of what he told his “date”:

You know how the virus keeps mutating? Well, one of the things we’re exploring is, like, why don’t we just mutate it ourselves so we could focus on, so we could create … develop new vaccines, right? So, we have to do that. If we’re going to do that, though, there’s a risk of, like, as you could imagine, no one wants to be having a pharma company mutating f***ing viruses. So, we’re like, do we want to do this? So, that’s, like, one of the things we’re considering for, like, the future, like, maybe we’re going to create new versions of the vaccine and things like that.

He said a lot more, too, including this: “COVID will probably be a cash cow for us for awhile going forward, which I obviously like.”

Then Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe walked in like Chris Hansen from that weirdly popular “To Catch a Predator” series and told Walker that he’d been recorded. At which point Walker considered the gravity of what he’d just said, then became hysterical and violent, then called the cops to complain about the sheer number of white people in his presence, which apparently made him feel unsafe.

“Is this real life?” asked Walker. “I’m literally a liar. I was trying to impress a person on a date by lying. This is absurd. Please stop. Why are you doing this to someone who is just working in a company to literally help the public?”

We have no word yet on whether Pfizer has a research team dedicated to finding a vaccine for foot-in-mouth disease, but such a drug would probably be a hot seller among Big Pharma R&D types. Or at least among those who feel a need to run their mouths in order to impress their dates.

Walker also affirmed a dirty little secret that we’ve long suspected about the regulatory state: that there exists a deep and incestuous relationship between the regulators and the ostensibly regulated. The regulatory industry, according to Walker, “is a revolving door for all government officials for any industry.” He says “all the government officials who review our drugs eventually come work for pharma companies, and the military … defense government officials eventually go work for the defense companies afterwards.”

It’s been a rough few days for Pfizer, especially when we consider the brutal (and magnificent) interrogation of the company’s CEO, Albert Bourla, by two intrepid Rebel News journalists.

When it comes to Big Pharma, sunlight might not be a vaccine, but it’s certainly a great disinfectant.

*Caveats apply when the topic is COVID deaths because it’s become clear that the Centers for Disease Control and other ostensibly reliable sources have been playing politics with the distinction of how many Americans have died from COVID as opposed to having died with COVID. Did Americans really account for more than one out of every seven coronavirus deaths worldwide? But this much is indisputable: The COVID-19 pandemic has been a worldwide disaster of epic proportions.

Update: Pfizer released a passive, blame-shifting, obfuscating statement about this whole fiasco, never mentioning Project Veritas or that the “allegations” came from their own guy, and not really answering the basic question at hand:

Allegations have recently been made related to gain of function and directed evolution research at Pfizer and the company would like to set the record straight.

In the ongoing development of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, Pfizer has not conducted gain of function or directed evolution research. Working with collaborators, we have conducted research where the original SARS-CoV-2 virus has been used to express the spike protein from new variants of concern. This work is undertaken once a new variant of concern has been identified by public health authorities. This research provides a way for us to rapidly assess the ability of an existing vaccine to induce antibodies that neutralize a newly identified variant of concern. We then make this data available through peer reviewed scientific journals and use it as one of the steps to determine whether a vaccine update is required.
