The Patriot Post® · Minnesota to Become Another 'Trans Refuge'
Minnesota is set to join the ranks of California by signing into law a bill that would make The Land of 10,000 Lakes a “transgender refuge.” This means that kids, families, or medical professionals who are adamant about bodily mutilation and drug dependency — i.e., “gender affirming” care — are now incentivized to come to Minnesota either to live or to have procedures done to them.
State Representative Leigh Finke, who claims to be transgender, introduced this bill, and it sounds very much like what State Representative Scott Weiner was able to push through in California’s HB 107. It shields people from the repercussions of breaking their home state’s laws. It particularly targets those laws that would remove children from the custody of their parents for pursuing gender-affirming care for their kids.
Critics of the bill are concerned that parents in the state who do not believe in gender affirmation as the best solution to their child’s problems could have their children removed from their custody. In other words, it rewards bad parenting and punishes good.
This legislation is, in part, a reaction to legislation within the Minnesota House that would ban gender affirmation for minors. It’s also a reaction to states such as Utah banning the dangerous and experimental practice of hormone therapy, puberty blockers, mutilation surgeries, and other even more dark and nefarious “science.” It could also be a reaction to Donald Trump’s campaign promise to stop child mutilation. He said recently, “The left-wing gender insanity being pushed on our children is an act of child abuse — very simple.”
The other part of it is that people who adhere to this ideology believe they are “not safe” in states that seek to protect children. Their dramatic and delusional case of main character syndrome is summed up in one “mother’s” advocacy for the new refuge bill. According to him, this bill is lifesaving and a medical necessity. He goes on to explain that he and his partner are in such fear that they won’t be allowed to receive gender-affirming care that they have considered leaving the country because not receiving it is equivalent to a death sentence.

The language they use is outrageous and extreme. What did people do before the transgender social contagion infected the general population? They accepted their social roles and learned to live in society. The rejection of biology, and ultimately the rejection of the importance of sexual roles in a society, is an indication of just how dysfunctional and far gone the radicals are. It is destruction for destruction’s sake. Then to turn around and pretend that they are sticking up for the rights of children is sickening.
The bill is still in the early phase in the Minnesota House. It’s got a long way to go before it becomes law. However, it would be a very sad blow to parents seeking to protect their children from the horrid side effects of the transgender ideology. One can only hope it doesn’t pass.
