As the old saying goes, a leopard can’t change its spots. Evidently, Democrats can’t seem to curtail their racist instincts, no matter how much they claim otherwise.

The most recent example illustrating Democrats’ racial obsession comes courtesy of Joe Biden, who signed an executive order to root out “systemic racism” within the federal government. Does that mean that all Democrat bureaucrats will be handing in their walking papers? Unfortunately, no, despite the party’s long history of racist policies and racial injustice.

Republicans and conservatives have repeatedly exposed the fact that crying about “systemic racism” is merely the convenient cover for engaging in overt racism — just against white Americans, and all in the name of “social justice.”

In signing his latest order, Biden dropped that neo-Marxist code word “equity.” The goal is to provide “equitable outcomes” for all Americans, he told us. Then, using the Left’s intersectional hierarchy, he pointed to the usual “underserved minority communities.”

Biden’s order directs executive agencies to create “equity teams” whose goal will be meeting Biden’s race goals by “delivering equitable outcomes, to the extent consistent with applicable law.” The White House will also create a new steering committee to “coordinate Government-wide efforts to advance equity.”

Biden’s deputy assistant for racial justice and equity, Chiraag Bains, explained that the vision is to “to put equity at the center of how this government operates.” Biden’s order further states, “By advancing equity, the Federal Government can support and empower all Americans, including the many communities in America that have been underserved, discriminated against, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality.” This is still the U.S. and not Communist China, but it would appear that Biden may not be able to distinguish the difference.

It is clear that all this “equity” is nothing more than an excuse for the federal government to exercise greater control of Americans’ lives and wealth in order to redistribute toward favored interest groups, all for the purpose of growing Washington’s political power.

The reason today’s Democrat Party has become obsessed with racism has everything to do with advancing political power. America’s past history of racism, a history that one party is primarily responsible for promulgating, has been weaponized by hard-left Democrats to pound today’s populace that has for the most part overcome racism into embracing “equity,” which is simply racism repackaged to target whites rather than blacks.

Biden’s nominee for IRS commissioner, Daniel Werfel, demonstrates this new racist “equity” dynamic with his advocacy for “equity” in auditing. According to a Stanford University study, black Americans are subjected to IRS audits at a higher rate than are white Americans. Werfel sees this as an example of injustice against communities of color, or as Biden would claim, “systemic racism” within the IRS.

However, it has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with personal choices. In filing taxes, lower-income individuals have the opportunity to receive tax credits, which provide “refunds” even if they didn’t pay any taxes. The Earned Income Tax Credit is one example of these tax credits. While there is no racial information requested or required when an individual makes an EITC claim, it does increase the possibility of an IRS audit.

According to the study, blacks, who make up roughly 13% of the U.S. population, account for 21% of EITC claims. That almost single-handedly explains the higher rate of IRS auditing of black Americans versus whites.

It’s hard not to see the irony here. Thanks to programs designed to “help” lower-income Americans, programs such as the EITC, the federal government also subjects them to higher rates of IRS auditing. So, is it “systemic racism,” or individual choices and behavior?
