Sheeple — definition: people who are docile, compliant, or easily influenced. People likened to sheep.

At one time, Americans were considered hard-working, resilient people. We took a harsh land, farmed it, tamed it, and built one of the most prosperous free nations on planet earth. We defended it against the mightiest military power in the world (Great Britain) to gain our independence. We fought two World Wars and many other conflicts for the cause of freedom. That was before “woke.”

Warriors win battles; politicians lose the wars — but that’s a subject for another day! Today, we have to ask ourselves if we have what it takes to keep the freedoms purchased at the great cost of our blood and treasure. From most accounts, we may lose that ability, if we haven’t lost it already. Have we become “sheeple” that our political elites can coerce to do whatever we’re told?

It wasn’t that long ago when having a Christmas tree or a Nativity scene anywhere, including in our town squares, was commonplace. Having a cross at a cemetery or park was also common. Not long ago, we weren’t confused as to what a woman is or which bathroom to use. We knew a marriage was between a man and a woman.

Words had meaning. They meant what they said in plain English! It wasn’t that long ago when someone wanting to mutilate a child, changing their gender chemically or surgically, would have been thought barbaric. Abortion has been part of society for millennia, but killing an unborn child up to and after birth was murder. Remember those days? Are they gone forever?

That will depend on the courage of the average American citizen who has not been intimidated by the cancel culture crowd. Wokesters will do whatever is needed to force you to accept their insanity. If a man suddenly says, “I’m a woman,” we’re supposed to accept his delusion as fact. If a child identifies as a cat, as has happened in a public school, the school needs to provide him or her with a litter box. Personally, I think cats belong outside!

Men who are mediocre in a sport can now identify as a woman and go on to set records in that sport at the expense of our daughters’ hopes and dreams. If someone is suddenly offended by anything, we have to go out of our way to accommodate them. Is anyone else sick and tired of this insanity?

I don’t care if you hate Christmas. My tree and Nativity scene in my front yard are going up to be seen. My American flag flies from my house anytime I want to fly it. I celebrate Easter, Veterans Day, the 4th of July, and every national and patriotic holiday there is. If you’re offended by that, deal with it!

I’m offended by people who hate this country but enjoy all of the privileges it offers. I’m offended by government officials who open our borders to people who come here demanding more benefits than we offer to our homeless veterans.

It’s time we stand up to the bullies and realize there are more of us than there are of them. No more will we kowtow to America’s dysfunctional haters! Time to grow a backbone!
