“I don’t think people fully understand the rights regression. … The number one issue of the day seems to be getting rid of the word ‘Latinx’ in Arkansas and number two getting rid of drag shows. It’s a serious moment in American history. … If I care about my kids, I sure as hell better care about what’s going on in Alabama.” —California Governor Gavin Newsom
Re: The Left
“Here’s the latest sign of decline in Loudoun County. The school system allows teachers to use preferred pronouns or phrases in email signature blocks that are intended to express the teacher’s personal views on a variety of subjects. But when one teacher included John 3:16 (not the whole verse, just the citation) in her signature block, Loudoun school officials ordered her to cease and desist because that would be the establishment of a religion.” —Gary Bauer
“Legislatures run by rules. They are important. Lawmaking bodies cannot work if, when debating a matter, one or two or three lawmakers are allowed to produce a megaphone, shout colleagues down, and take over the chamber because they would rather discuss a different matter. The Republican idea is that such behavior should be sharply punished. The Democratic idea, amplified in a lot of media coverage, is that it should be celebrated.” —Byron York
“If the media were fair and balanced, they’d be noting with great praise that the GOP is advancing two credible candidates from South Carolina, home of the first shots in the Civil War, who are not white.” —Erick Erickson
For the Record
“In each generation, there are those who seek to destroy the Jews, and in every generation, through the grace of God, they fail. But that doesn’t relieve those who retain any measure of decency from standing up against evil terrorists. The alternative is apathetic complicity — and that apathetic complicity costs lives.” —Ben Shapiro
