Re: In Brief: The Myth of the ‘Marginalized’

“The Rainbow Mafia will never consider that others are truly marginalized because that might turn the spotlight on someone else, and that they cannot abide. They crave the nonstop attention, which is why they relish their 15 minutes of fame being extended into four years courtesy of the current DC clown show. These people have the mentality of spoiled selfish children who want what they want when they want it and would never dream that anyone else is as deserving as they are. Their pathetic self-delusions should make them objects of pity, but flouting their narcissism, arrogance, and manufactured body parts just makes them — in a word — deplorable.” —Pennsylvania

Re: Is Wokeness Good for Business?

“Mark Cuban’s point of view is shortsighted like many of those with more money than brains. It may appear to some these activities are good for business, but I personally will never buy from Anheuser-Busch, Target, Starbucks, Nike, or any of the woke companies. There are too many good companies to spend my money on. I’m not supporting companies that hitch their wagons to the destroyers of the family and abusers of children. If that is what your marketing team wants, you need a new team. So, Cuban, how many more like me are out there? I don’t own stock in any of these companies, and if I did, I would have dumped them the day this stuff happened. In time, he might see how going woke ends with going broke, but I’m an optimist.” —Oregon

Re: Why the Left Can’t Stand Homeschooling

“The claim that a Christian upbringing is ‘child abuse’ has been a favorite libel from radical anti-theists for a long time. This alone is enough to understand that the Washington Post article is in no way an objective viewpoint. Another reason the proselytizers of secular humanism fear and despise homeschooling and private education is that in many states, funding is proportional to the number of students in the public schools. When enrollment declines, it becomes harder to justify increased or continued elevated tax levies to the voters.” —Minnesota

Re: Influencers

“I hope someday soon we will all look back on social media as the cigarettes of our generation. I became an accidental ‘influencer’ by being a young, impressionable health professional with a decent social media following. It was fun at first and easy to get drawn into the lucrative offers from big PR firms. My eyes were opened around 2020 after having multiple contracts canceled because I am on the ‘wrong’ side of the political aisle. I decided it wasn’t worth it and walked away. Despite losing out on a six-figure income, I’ve been so much happier the past couple of years not having any social media through which to mindlessly scroll!” —Texas

Re: Friday Short Cuts

“Lt. Gen. DeAnna M. Burt is a prime example of military officers who have embraced the woke agenda and its DEI imperative. More than 200 retired ‘Flag Officers 4 America’ have recently signed a letter ‘demanding Congress stop this practice infecting the U.S. military,’ citing the debilitating effects of DEI on military recruitment and overall war-fighting readiness. All Americans concerned for the future of our nation must also demand that Congress stop the growing woke influence on our military establishment.” —Florida

Re: Thursday Short Cuts

“Our entire administration is continuing the charge forward to literally redeem the soul of America.” —Joe Biden

“This isn’t just demagoguery, it is crazy. 'Those who trust in their wealth and boast in the multitude of their riches, none of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him — for the redemption of their souls is costly’ (Psalm 49:6-8). There is only one Redeemer of mankind. Far from redeeming America’s soul, Mr. Biden is driving it deeper into debt, and not just monetarily. He stokes envy of the rich and hatred based on ancestry, celebrates the grossest sexual perversions, and promotes child sacrifice to the goddess of Self as a ‘right to reproductive care.’ This is not what Jesus did.” —Minnesota

Re: Friday: Below the Fold

“It’s good news that the House passed the Separation of Powers Restoration Act to rein in executive branch federal agencies that take actions far beyond their granted authority, and great news that SCOTUS plans to review the 1984 decision that started them down that path in the first place. I agree with Jerry Nadler (five words I never thought I’d say) that overturning Chevron v. NRDC would ‘completely upend the administrative process by eliminating judicial deference to agencies.’ In other words, if courts make federal agencies act within the bounds of duly passed law, it will make it hard for the executive branch to enlarge the scope of the regulations they enforce.
Where we disagree is that Nadler thinks that’s a bad thing.” —Georgia
