I’m not referring to the decadence of the past month, when we had to endure all the gay pride events. Joe Biden went all in, it seems, even breaking flag protocol at the White House. Who cares about flag protocol when you have an agenda to promote?
The pride I’m talking about is a very serious matter if you consider the biblical issue of pride. It seems our Heavenly Father takes a dim view of those who think too much of themselves. In Isaiah 42:8, the Lord says, “My glory will I not give to another.”
At the risk of offending my friends who adamantly support Donald Trump, I can’t seem to remember anytime he praised anyone for doing a great job. He took credit for every success and blamed others for the mistakes. Not a good look for a leader, especially if you claim to be a follower of Christ. Just saying!
Remember, I voted for him twice, so this is not coming from some “Never-Trumper.”
Pride is a very serious thing. I had great pride in my service as a Marine, but too much pride becomes arrogance and ego — also not good leadership qualities. King Solomon knew all about pride. That’s why he said, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18).
Solomon also said, “When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom” (Proverbs 11:2). Speaking of humility (rarely seen in DC), the Apostle James said, “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble” (James 4:6).
With the current administration, pride has become arrogance. From the White House to the Justice Department to the FBI to the Pentagon, the arrogance they continue to flaunt in our faces regarding their actions is intolerable, but we’re supposed to suck it up. The ignorance of the Left never ceases to amaze me. The Left believes we will all just roll over and play dead. Seems like the British did that once. When was that? Oh yeah, 1776.
Because the Left literally owns the media, Hollywood, academia, Big Tech, the White House, and the Senate, it feels it can roll right over us. The Left has overplayed its hand; there’s a sleeping giant starting to wake up. Conservatives and Christians are no longer asleep.
Christians don’t take lightly to having their religious freedoms limited or taken away. We’re finally starting to wake up and realize we can no longer pretend to ignore the Left’s efforts to destroy this nation as “One Nation Under God.” It’s beginning to happen — finally!
Right now, an “expert” at the United Nations is telling people of faith that our religious beliefs need to take a “backseat” to the LGBTQ+ agenda. So that means 93% of Americans need to bow to what may only be 7% of the country? I don’t think so!
The Marxists have been smacking us in the face with their constant name-calling and threats for so long that they seem to think they have won. Our part is to pray and continue to ask for the Lord’s fulfillment of II Chronicles 7:14:
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
We fight on our knees!
