The so-called debt crisis is more a state of mind than a reality. Obama keeps saying (not putting into writing as a request to Congress) that we must raise our debt ceiling or all kinds of catastrophes will befall America. Some of the spineless and gullible have bought into the Bovine Excrement; let’s say Boehner, McConnell, Chambliss, Coburn and others.

And it doesn’t stop there, the liberal press and folks like Sujata Srinivasan writing in the Enfield Patch comments regarding how Connecticut’s Governor Malloy handled a looming state budget deficit by “implementing both tax increases and spending cuts.” She goes on to say he is unafraid to make unpopular decisions. Well, so far, so good, sounds like the Washington crowd minus results. The Washington Republicans have been holding firm on ‘no tax increases’ until the Gang of Six apparently caved in.

Ms. Srinivasan goes on to observe that Republicans and Democrats are, “still mired in political rhetoric instead of focusing on economic realities.” She also makes note of a fabrication of Secretary Geithner, “just days before the U.S. government is scheduled to meet its payment obligations on Aug. 3, the day after U.S. Treasury funds dry up.” Treasury Funds will NOT dry up, The Treasury, according to the Daily Treasury Statements published by the U.S. Treasury Department, the ongoing flow of federal tax revenue since the Treasury declared that it had hit the debt limit on May 16 has been more than sufficient to cover the combined costs of federal spending on interest payments, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, the Veterans Affairs department and federal workers wages and insurance benefits (including wages and insurance benefits for military personnel).

Furthermore, between May 16 and July 7 the federal government took in a total of $296.176 billion in new tax revenue. In that same time period, total interest payments on the national debt equaled $14.632 billion. More lies by Geithner and Obama. We may be in a little doo-doo but not critical as the liars would have us believe.

Senator McConnell needs to brief himself on the status of the economy without recourse to information from the least trustworthy. America needs to follow a simple bookkeeping regimen. Rather than the hocus-pocus smoke and mirrors antics of the Democrats.

Obama and Geithner lie to cover lies. Come on Congress, make them put up or shut up. Make no offers that you are unable to fulfill. Make Obama and his gang put it in writing; if they lie on the figures that constitutes perjury and is Impeachable.

Geithner has already lied to Congress in his previous testimony regarding the debt crisis.

Call him on it and charge him; let him be Obama’s fall guy.

Now, let’s get serious about 2012 and the departure of Obama.
