The Patriot Post® · To err Is Human
Both CBS and Politico jumped all over Michele Bachmann’s gaffe about Concord-Lexington. Big deal? No! Not a single politician has gone through a campaign without goofing on something. No one is more humbled by that slip than is Michele. Will it have any effect on the outcome of the Revolutionary War? No! Will it rally affect the 2012 campaign? It must not. All Americans must stay focused on the real purpose of the election, which for the Democrats is to perpetuate their disastrous, and near catastrophic reign since 2009.
The Republicans, The Conservatives and their Tea Party compatriots have but a single purpose; get rid of Obama and his sycophants in Congress. Michele Bachmann has stepped up, reared back and Threw Obamacare, Stimulus, debt ceiling and other Obama foolishness right back at him. So, what is a little slip of the tongue in the greater scheme of things? It is something to laugh about and move on.
Michele Bachmann is taking the Republican establishment into uncharted territory. No female in the United States has ever led a major party in a race for the Presidency. She is in rarified air and more than holding her own. Few individuals have ever displayed the constancy of her conservative message, her unwavering dedication to the unborn and her tenacity of focus on that which is important.
At all times, she has maintained her composure, her situational awareness and a firm grasp of the fiscal facts plaguing America. This Nation can never consider itself truly free and emancipated until every eligible citizen has the legitimate chance to achieve that noblest of goals, become the President of the United States of America.
The struggle for absolute freedom in America has been long and arduous. “In 1866, the 14th Amendment to the federal Constitution was passed, guaranteeing citizenship to the former slaves and changing them in the eyes of the law from 3/5 of a person to whole persons. Then, in 1869, the 15th Amendment guaranteed the right to vote to black men, with most women of all races still unable to vote.”

It was not until 1920 that the 19th Amendment was ratified and signed into law that our mothers, sisters, aunts and grandmothers were grudgingly given the right to vote. The modern movement for a vote for women traces its beginning to the Seneca Falls Convention in 1848. Efforts slowed during the Civil War and then began in earnest in the late 19th Century. Despite the vituperative antagonism of the President, Democrat Woodrow Wilson who encouraged mobs to had women been beaten, cursed, spat upon, jailed and force-fed in their efforts to attain the vote. Following is a great read about one woman’s lifetime efforts on behalf of women.

Many individuals in the Main Stream Media, including several females, and in the most liberal fringes of the Democratic Party exhibit a misogynistic antagonism or suffer from gynophobia. These failings do a terrible injustice to American womanhood.
Much to my surprise, a few women have indicated that women should either stay home and raise babies or get a job, but stay out of politics. Those attitudes do not exist well with the full range of freedom to which each citizen is entitled.
So all you nitpickers forget Michele’s unimportant slip of the tongue or lapse of historical memory and encourage her to follow her dream. Forgiveness is a great virtue.
