The Patriot Post® · Harry Reid: The Epitome of Corruption
Corrupt is not really a strong enough word by itself to describe Harry Reid (D-NV). Additional ones might include immoral, unethical, dishonest, crooked, shady, fraudulent, debased, degraded, tainted, perverted, warped, contaminated, and rotten. One might also add uncooperative, intransigent, inflexible, obdurate, obstinate, obstructionist, extremist, and intractable. And these are his good points. When it comes to serving the interests of America and her citizens, rather than those of himself and those willing to bribe him, Reid hits the absolute bottom of the political septic tank.
For years, the Fifth Column Media and the Democrat Party of Marx have demanded that the Republicans work with them. “Compromise!” was, and still is, the cry. This has become the near daily mantra for them in the past four years. Last week, Harry Reid, whom many believe should be in federal prison, but who instead is the Democrat Senate Majority Misleader, insultingly stated, “Mitt Romney’s fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his ‘severely conservative’ agenda is laughable.”
Months ago, Reid shamelessly used the Fifth Column Media to parrot his charge that the Republicans were “obstructionists,” in spite of the fact that it has been the Senate, which he controls, that has refused to vote on, or actually voted down, dozens of House bills that would have gone a long way towards turning the economy around and lowering the deficit. Now he has the gall to brag that Democrats won’t cooperate since they “have already shot down most of the things over which Romney says he could find cross-aisle agreement.”
The “mainstream” Fifth Column Media has largely ignored Reid’s outrageous remarks. However, the over the edge, far-left Huffington Post has reported it with unabashed approval, in an article that concludes with this incredible statement:
“Reid has been a painful thorn in Romney’s side during the campaign, often bringing up the former Massachusetts governor’s taxes and driving weeks of discussion over whether or not Romney even paid taxes.”
Clearly, the left approves of Reid’s beyond the pale, lying smears, believing them to be something to be proud of, and an example of what a great leader Reid is.
Reid and his lackeys on the left have convinced themselves that they will not lose control of the Senate in 2012. They refuse to recognize what happened to them in 2010, that the majority of Americans are conservative to one degree or another, and that We, the People, are no longer willing to put up with turning our country into a tyrannical, socialist, one-party dictatorship. Or, they are counting on their many, many, many years of experience rigging elections to keep control?
A lot of people believe Reid won his last election by massive voter fraud. His Tea Party opponent, Sharon Angle led in every poll going into the election by an average of 2.7 percent, yet a week later, lost by 5.6 percent, a change in one week of over 8 percent. Reid also has a history of being a friend of ACORN and the SIEU, one of his bigger big-money donors. It appears to be happening again with rigged Nevada voting machines, especially in Nevada’s most populace county, Clark County, home of Las Vegas and Nevada’s Democrat Secretary of State. To his credit, the Secretary of State was responsible for investigating and charging ACORN with fraud. However, since it’s likely that the large majority that won it for Reid was due to votes by illegal aliens, this should not be seen as an indication that all’s well, nothing to see here, folks, just move along.
For months, I have been discussing the importance of gaining conservative control of the Senate. Unfortunately, the Republican Establishment, run by and for RINOs, has done little to ensure the victory of the conservative candidates, whom they apparently view as threats to their positions of privilege and power. The main support for conservative Senate candidates comes from the Jim DeMint’s (R-SC) Senate Conservatives Fund, which I encourage everyone to support with one, last, before the election contribution. Of the nine candidates they have supported, eight now have an excellent chance of winning. This would make a huge difference in the direction Republicans in the Senate take. If they win, we can say good-bye to the current policy of dithering-and-caving on every important issues, and “compromising” away our rights and freedom.
Wednesday morning will tell the tale: we will either be able to begin to repair the massive damage that Reid and Obama have done to America in the past four years, or we will need to go back and re-read and give serious thought to the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence.
