Gay Marriage - Words Mean Something

Live and let live, something those who do something or anything against the natural order cannot abide. In the environmental jungle, warnings from the Al Gore zealots fell on deaf ears and lo and behold, the opposite was actually occurring, so no more global warming which morphed into “climate change” which is the story of the universe; been going on over the millenniums.

Of course climate changes but mankind has trouble regulating the temperature in its own house so how is it going to control the temperature and seasons worldwide? Only idiots make themselves superior to the Creator. The barren waterless Sahara dessert was once lush with greenery.

So it is with politicians who went from labels of democrat to progressive to liberal, and now back to progressive with socialist thrown in somewhere in between. Same thing with justice that is redefined as social justice when justice, a pure word, says it all.

With the gay community, it went from pervert, to queer, to homosexual, to same-sex, and now they usurped a perfectly GAY word to describe themselves. As to gay mirage…oops, gay marriage, it was homo, Greek for same, combined with marriage, thus same-sex marriage, but no, that’s not good enough; it has to be gay marriage.

When a word gains an adjective the whole meaning of the word changes; marriage is marriage while gay marriage is by definition something different, and as the French were wont to say, “Vive la différence.” Marriage is not gay marriage nor is gay marriage marriage. The homosexual community counts itself as 3%-5% of the population but it is the squeaky wheel that demands all the grease.

Gays can live a lifestyle according to their own beliefs, dictates, and choosing, but cannot impose themselves 100% on the rest of the community and make everyone dance in the streets celebrating the gay lifestyle on their behalf.

Of course the straights love their gay brothers but it does not mean getting a rubber stamp of approval for the sexual activity. The person and the actions are two different things. We can love the person and the actions or we can love the person and still be reviled or simply turned off by the actions.

Same as kids, we love them, but still don’t let them do things contrary to direction of the parent. Another oops, as many of today’s parents, as an old long gone aunt has been wont to say, “Couldn’t raise a cat.” Live and let live, each according to their own conscience, dictates, and beliefs.

It’s like cell phones that are perfectly good and useful, but using them while driving increases the risks of accident; happens every day. There is a problem with thinking legislation alone will resolve the problem of talking on the cell phone while driving. There was once a program called, “Kids say and do the darnedest things,” and people, like kids, do likewise and for the strangest reasons, or no reason at all.

People just do stuff regardless of consequences or danger to themselves and others. Kids talk on cell phones while driving because adults who should know better do the same thing. Legislation does not solve problems. Behavioral problems have extended down from adults to children and as they become young adults and themselves have children, how do emerging adults suddenly gain the wherewithal to guide their progeny as they themselves refused to be guided.

The nanny state cannot succeed in controlling behavior by piling up regulations while the masses choose to ignore the basic Ten Commandments, or even plain old common sense. Kids are told not to play in the middle of a busy street, but some choose to do it anyway, sometimes to their everlasting regret. So it is with the gay lifestyle that poses horrific danger and vulnerability to HIV AIDS, common sense notwithstanding.
