The Patriot Post® · Drone Strikes; Persecuting Christians; Christmas
Ron Paul fears an Obama drone strike against Edward Snowden. Ron Paul is right as usual, that President Obama may want to take out NSA informer Snowden with a drone strike as he has previously done just that to other unindicted American citizens in foreign countries. Obama all along has acted as judge, jury, and executioner, but God forbid that any criticism go against him.
On June 7, Obama defended his expanding NSA surveillance program as striking “The right balance between national security and civil liberties…Y ou can’t have 100 percent security and also have 100 percent privacy and zero inconvenience. We’re going to have to make some choices as a government.” Russia President Vladimir Putin told Obama that the US should follow the law as Liberals urge the killing of Edward Snowden, NSA leaker of White House authorization for IRS secret snooping programs of millions of US citizens without their knowledge or approval.
While pushing for prosecution of Edward Snowden for treason, why not include prosecuting President Obama on treason charges as well, as he has bent, folded, stapled, and torn the Constitution almost beyond repair. Persecuting Christians while promoting Islam is just the tip of the iceberg. The unconstitutional list is too well known and too long to repeat here in detail.
Infringing of the Constitution and Bill of Rights have become Obama’s modus operandi, including major transgressions against freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom to bear arms, and voting laws; grounds for impeachment and perhaps incarceration upon impeachment. Take away Obama’s Air Force One jet plane and its twin used by his Lady Michelle for “separate” vacations.
Obama piously declared that no plan is 100% sure to protect the people but these measures are the price people must pay for protection, advice used by Mafioso collecting protection money. Shadow Government has boldly come out of the shadows due to disclosures by Edward Snowden. Big Brother has gone far beyond the once seemingly absurd Orwell devastating and dire predictions, like: “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act,” and “Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.”
Orwell was ahead of his time but perhaps little brother Snowden has stuck his finger in the dike by acting on those two axioms. Only history will prove whether Snowden is a hero or traitor. There is the profusion of lies and misdirection emanating from DC and the President in particular.
Obama targets Christians in general as well as in the Military, and now on his foreign trip for the G8 Summit, targeted Catholics and Protestants in Ireland, accusing them of creating segregation in that their separate religious schools are divisive and thereby creating dissension. There are real fears that Obama and his Administration plan to target Christians for merely discussing their faith, but he has no such prohibitions for Islam and Muslims who can pray on public property, including in public schools without repercussions, whenever and wherever they wish.
Recent revelations indicate the Pentagon is working with notoriously anti-Christian atheist activist Mikey Weinstein, founder of the misleadingly named Military Religious Freedom Foundation, to craft a policy that could subject Christians caught talking about their faith to punishment, including court martial.
Weinstein is a far-left fanatic who publicly states that Christian evangelizing is tantamount to treason. According to him, Christians should be punished by the hundreds if need be. Weinstein apparently has easy access to the Pentagon.
House Republican John Fleming of Louisiana is proposing a measure to expand the “conscience provision” in defense law in a way that would make it easier for service members to harass their gay comrades, according to a copy of his amendment provided by the American Civil Liberties Union. The amendment puts the burden on the Pentagon to prove that the expression of religious beliefs would be an “actual harm” to good order and discipline in refusing to make an accommodation.
Fleming’s amendment drew objections from the White House, which released this message:
“Expansion and Implementation of Protection of Rights of Conscience of Members of the Armed Forces and Chaplains of Such Members: The Administration strongly objects to section 530, which would require the Armed Forces to accommodate, except in cases of Military necessity, ‘actions and speech’ reflecting the ‘conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs of the member.’ By limiting the discretion of commanders to address potentially problematic speech and actions within their units, this provision would have a significant adverse effect on good order, discipline, morale, and mission accomplishment.”
Policy has been developing at the Pentagon covering chaplains, not just ordinary troops, who try to persuade other Military members to adopt Christianity or any other religion. Although coercing someone in religious matters has long been prohibited by the Military branches, it has never been perceived as a widespread problem until recently, largely due to Weinstein’s lobbying against proselytizing in the Military, commenting: “Someone needs to be punished for this. Until the Air Force or Army or Navy or Marine Corps punishes a member of the Military for unconstitutional religious proselytizing and oppression, we will never have the ability to stop this horrible, horrendous, dehumanizing behavior.”
Weinstein is part of the foes of Christianity who seek through the courts, government agencies, and legislation to force biblical religion out of public sight while installing their own atheism religion as a state-mandated faith. By calling atheism a “non-religion” and hiding behind phrases like “separation of church and state” and “religious freedom,” the atheist religious agenda is advanced.
Religious atheism is extended to the public school system that given an inch has taken the proverbial nine-yards. Religious holidays mandated by law as paid holidays (holy days) like everything in politically correct (incorrect by definition) vague and undefined American Values remain undefined. “Freedom of Religion morphs into "Freedom From Religion,” while “Global Warming” changes to “Climate Change.”
Schools relegate offensive term “Christmas” to “Winter Break” while “Easter” is simply an excuse for infamous “Spring Break,” a time for “kids” to vacation and engage in every kind of deviant behavior, away from eyes of prying parental and other authorities that honor the famous Japanese proverbial picture depicting three monkeys who in turn, cover their eyes, ears, and mouth: “See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil,” while ignoring the unwritten corollary, “Do no evil” – or as doctors put it in their Hippocratic oath, “Do no harm.” But guess what? Abortion doctors kill what they KNOW are live, kicking, brain-functioning, pain-feeling, beings whether some call it human or not, it is not a lifeless mass that becomes a human person after birth.
Why do government workers get paid days off for “illegal” religious holidays especially considering the fact that under Obama, Christians are being persecuted? Government should not have Christmas and Easter vacation days off with pay since those days are deemed to be illegal. The actual birth date of Jesus is probably in the fall sometime between September and October, after the harvest, as that coincides with the journey of Joseph and Mary for the census used for tax purposes. People would not be traveling during the harvest, and would not have money to pay the taxes until they were paid for the harvest.
During the early Christian days during the Roman Empire, December 25 was an arbitrary date chosen to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ to coincide and counter the pagan Roman holiday of Saturnalia, a week of lawlessness and debauchery celebrated between December 17-25 during which Roman courts were closed, and no one could be punished for damaging property or injuring people during the weeklong celebration.
Christians should honor the best probable date of Jesus’ birth and celebrate this religious holy day at their own expense and without expecting pay. Christians perhaps should unite and lobby and/or sue government and businesses for unauthorized use of the word “Christmas” that is used to exploit business activity that in an already faltering economy would have no stimulation and business would be brought to its knees, hopefully literally.
