The inevitable has happened, as it usually does:

Our nation has changed demographically. The old white guy (that be me) no longer calls the shots.

The "white" vote will not carry the elections, the center vote will. It ticks me off too, that people break the law, but their crossing the border (or my having to pay for someone’s else’s abortion or that men get married to each other) pales in comparison to losing our inalienable rights to a Federal government grown dangerous. Focus on the most damaging enemy: and that is the federal government taking away our God given rights to choose, to live in freedom and liberty.

We can alienate the vast central vote or we can change the party. I say we move to the center through principles of Liberty and fiscal responsibility. If that includes alienating the extreme right, then we are forced to do so to save our founding principles of liberty and freedom. The battle isn’t in which ‘god’ we worship or whether we believe in abortion or illegal aliens, the battle is so much deeper.

I will argue that immigration, at least as it pertains to elections is not everything. Let’s say that there are 50% of the nations populace eligible to vote or 150 million people and they are roughly divided into thirds: Republican, Democrat and Independent. That’s 50 million votes for each. Now let’s assume the middle third, the Independents usually are split, but their vote is subject to their whims at the time of voting. So, at any time, at any vote, there are roughly 75 millions votes for the two party’s. The vote is won in the very center, and is lost at the extremes.

Now, if 11 million illegal aliens really did vote for the Dems that would be significant. However, Mitt lost by 2 million votes because 4 million Fundamentalist sat out the vote. We didn’t lose because 11 million illegals voted for OBM, we lost because the “more extreme” part of our party decided they didn’t like a Mormon. What bigotry.

The fact is that the nations “white” vote is no longer able to carry the election. For the first time a presidential candidate carried the “white” vote but lost the election. Why? Because the demographics have changed. And not through illegal votes, but because the nation has been changing since its founding. It is inexorable, inevitable.

Because the very core of the most basic principles of this nation are under siege.
