It has recently been reported that illegals have been charged in over 120 murders. The finger of blame is being pointed at Homeland Security and ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) officers. However, the blame lays squarely on President Obama’s desk.

As reported in the Washington Times, “Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director, Sarah R. Saldana said her officers cannot peer into the hearts of illegal immigrants to predict who the worst actors are.”

The White House claims it is cracking down on and deporting illegal felons, as stated on the: “These executive actions crack down on illegal immigration at the border, prioritize deporting felons not families, and require certain undocumented immigrants to pass a criminal background check and pay their fair share of taxes as they register to temporarily stay in the U.S. without fear of deportation.”

However, it was reported earlier that ICE, in fact, released 36,000 convicted criminals in 2013 and another 30,000 in 2014. These releases included thousands who already had serious homicide, rape, kidnapping, drug trafficking or drunken driving charges on their records. Is there really any surprise that these released illegal criminals would commit further crimes within our communities?

“Thats a lot of people who have been killed, that’s a lot of families who’ve lost loved ones,” said Rep. Ron DeSantis, Florida Republican. He further demanded to know if anyone’s been fired over their decision making on releases. "Not yet,“ Ms. Saldana replied.

But who can we really look to for the bungled releases of these criminals into our communities? Who can we really look to for the refusal to enforce the United States Immigration laws? President Obama has time after time, decided on his own, that he has the ultimate power to decide who will and will not be allowed into our country, despite what our laws demand. Last year Obama ordered the end to the Secure Communities Program as part of his executive action on immigration.

The Times further reported that "U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen was shocked to learn that three year work permits and stays of deportation were being handed out for more than three months despite the Obama administration leading him to believe that no part of the expanded amnesty was in effect. It was also found that not only had work permits been handed out, but that the agency approved application even after the Judge issued an injunction in February.”

Based on an agreement reached in Congress in 2011, President Obama said the fence along the border of Mexico is “now basically complete.” In a speech on May 10, 2011 in El Paso, her further said, “We have gone above and beyond what was requested by the very Republicans who said they supported broader reform as long as we got serious about enforcement. All the stuff they asked for, we’ve done. But even though we’ve answered these concerns, I’ve got to say I suspect there are still going to be some who are trying to move the goals posts on us one more time. They’ll want a higher fence. Maybe they’ll need a moat. Maybe they want alligators in the moat. They’ll never be satisfied. And I understand that. That’s politics.”

In response, Senator De Mint replied, “The Obama administration has not done its job to finish the border fence that is a critical part of keeping Americans safe and stopping illegal immigration. Five years ago, legislation was passed to build a 700-mile double layer border fence along the southwest border. This is a promise that has not been kept. Today, according to the staff at the Department of Homeland Security, just 5% of the double layer fencing is complete, only 36.1 miles.”

Yet after, once again, mocking Republicans for insisting that our borders be secured, Obama was at the helm when thousands and thousands rushed the border last summer.

When agents at the border asked over 200 non-Mexican immigrants why they were entering into the United States, 95% said they headed to the U.S because they had been told they could get a free pass simply by showing up at the border. A large percentage also said that their family members in the US told them to travel immediately because the government was issuing immigration passes until the end of June. These children and adults are not scaling the fences, they are surrendering to border control agents, because they know they will not be turned away. They are all giving the same answer, “if you go down there, the chances of you getting sent back or deported to your native country are slim to none.” “It’s a free ticket.” “Obama will never deport us and we can receive welfare for life.”

It turns out they had it right, as Obama contracted not only baby sitters for the summer rush back in January of 2014, but contracted charter flights and bus transportation to move the illegals into communities around the Nation. They were supplied with healthcare, homes, education and food at the expense of the American Taxpayer. Add insult to injury, taxpayer dollars were also used to provide free lawyers and paralegal services to those illegally crossing the border.

Who can forget Vice President Biden saying, “The U.S. needs a constant, unrelenting stream of new immigrants to buttress the national economy.”

According to the Center for Immigration Studies,  “Thirteen years after welfare reform, the share of immigrant-headed households (legal and illegal) with a child (under age 18) using at least one welfare program continues to be very high. This is partly due to the large share of immigrants with low levels of education and their resulting low incomes — not their legal status or an unwillingness to work. The major welfare programs examined in this report include cash assistance, food assistance, Medicaid, and public and subsidized housing.”

Now, the Obama Administration is giving illegal immigrants billions in tax credits, even in years when they did not work. The Treasury Department’s Inspector General determined that $4.2 billion was paid in 2010, up from less than $1 billion in 2005 to individuals who are not authorized to work in the United States. Leading Democrats are resisting a bill that would stop any future payments.

So when we continue to see American citizens murdered and subjected to criminal acts by illegal immigrants within our borders, we only have one place to look, the White House. Whether Obama agrees or not, the buck stops at his desk.
