Food deemed non-essential as New Mexico governor shuts down grocery stores.
· Nov 25, 2020 · NottheBee.com

Not all of them mind you, just the ones that meet a wholly arbitrary standard that the governor plucked out of thin air because power is fun!

Look at the common people scampering to find someplace to buy a turkey they can eat alone in their house.

And even if they can find a grocery store open, the governor's closures and occupancy limits have created hours-long lines at many of the ones that remain open.

"Qu'ils mangent de le rien!"

I have to admit, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham really knows how to take it up a notch.

The Governor's office disputed the claim that people had to wait in long lines at grocery stores and other essential businesses, saying,

"The state is not forcing anyone to stand in a crowded line, as you suggest."

These lines here that didn't exist before the governor's orders closing stores and limiting capacity?

You are not seeing these:

Who are you going to believe? Thousands of your fellow citizens or their Supreme Leader, The Righteous and Noble Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham (may she be revered for all time).

I suppose you could technically say that the state isn't forcing anyone to stand in line. You're the one choosing to eat, not her.

The Governor's office also notes that,

"There is no community in the state of New Mexico where COVID-19 closures have closed off all food and water or medicine options for any community or group of people."

See, it's not like they've closed off all food and water and medicine.

So quit complaining, or they just might give that dial another turn.

"A public health order from the governor's office shut down more than 25 essential businesses Monday with four or more rapid responses of COVID-19 cases reported within a 14-day period. The order requires the businesses to close for two weeks."

Remember that scientific study that found that if an essential business had four or more rapid responses of COVID-19 cases reported within a 14-day period they needed to shut down for two weeks?

No? That's because no one has. It doesn't exist except within the fevered imaginations of New Mexico state bureaucrats.

No big deal, New Mexico simply suffers from high unemployment and among the worst food insecurity in the country.

It's for your own good that you can't find food, can't work, and are standing in long imaginary lines.

Probably hallucinations from the malnutrition.
