Ellen Degeneres has left the country (I hope she turned in her passport so she really cannot come back). Joy Reid has come unhinged over the election results. Wasn’t it Barack Obama who told us elections have consequences? Why hasn’t she left with Ellen?
Reid’s rant even implied that she worships Jesus while all of the MAGA voters worship Donald Trump. In truth, most MAGA voters actually believe in God and the Constitution, as evidenced by election results. Christian voters appear to have been a decisive factor in his historic victory.
Trump supporters have been dealing with the tribulations of attacks on him since he started running in 2015. That he persevered and his followers stuck with him is a sign of strength. Perhaps our clinging to our Bibles and our guns provided the support we needed. Or maybe it was just our faith in God and the Constitution. After all, Jesus told us we had to endure tribulations, but that it was necessary to persevere to the end.
The Democrats tried denigrating Trump, attacking him, and taking a holier-than-thou approach not only with respect to Trump but to the electorate as well, at one point calling them garbage. They never looked at themselves in the mirror to see how out of tune they were with the country. When they did, they only saw themselves as better and smarter than everyone else and so continued to push failed policies that the people turned down in various ways.
Isn’t it ironic that those progressives who were pushing “white fragility” on the rest of us have turned out to be so fragile themselves?
Many conservatives have entertained themselves these past several weeks by watching the social media rants of broken progressives who can’t seem to cope with their election loss. Not only are they intolerant, but they have no resilience for adversity (although to half the country, it isn’t adversity but elation). I have even heard one claim that Trump didn’t win the popular vote, but last I checked, he had several million more votes than Kamala.
Of course, this is another product of recent Democrat administrations that brought us such wonderful policies and programs like diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). One of the main “features” of DEI, besides dividing the organizations that adopted it into affinity groups and pitting them against each other, is the establishment of “safe spaces.”
Apparently, the “safe spaces” of those lamenting their loss in the election aren’t safe enough, or they just can’t find them. And their inability to cope means we have to be subjected to the rants of the likes of the women of “The View,” who are footling around their cauldron being profoundly disturbed, worrying about internment camps, and calling Trump voters misogynists, racists, and dumb. I have yet to understand how anyone can think the audience of “The View” has any common sense to keep watching such tripe.
But this is what the Democrats have made of America. Progressives are not doers; they are whiners and complainers. They believe they have the right to be triggered by the slightest negative comment or event but never take the responsibility to learn from their mistakes or hear differences of opinion or even make a cogent argument. So much of the election campaign on the part of the Democrats was demeaning Trump with ad hominem attacks while avoiding articulating any meaningful policy or plan. Of course, it worked for the basement campaigner, Biden, so why wouldn’t it work for his incompetent vice president?
Fortunately, the excitement over DEI seems to be waning. Industry seems to be waking up to the fact that in order to be effective, they need people who are not only capable but willing to perform. A recent article pointed out that many young people are being let go from their jobs or are in low demand because of their lack of willingness to prioritize their work over their own little foibles.
Sadly, the result of all this progressive fragility, espoused and propagandized in the media and institutes of higher education, is that the country has been badly weakened. Thus, it’s not surprising that the military has missed recruiting goals, readiness and training of military units is lacking while DEI is emphasized, and we are probably at our weakest point militarily since prior to WWII. Unfortunately, I’m not sure the population has the resilience to respond quickly in the case of an emergency. And on top of all that, our industrial capacity is not poised to react as it did in WWII.
Based on his picks to round out his cabinet and administration, it appears Trump recognizes the need to restore America’s strength, leadership, and resilience. Many on the Left have attacked his choices, but they represent the setting of a tone that subordinates can follow and execute. Of course we shouldn’t expect anything different. The progressives have spent their time trashing the things that made America unique, breaking down people into “something”-Americans and pitting them against each other — contrary to the melting pot that has characterized our nation for so long — and acting as if they know better than the people do without even considering what the people want, expect, or need.
They ignored the voice of the people trying to tell them they were failing. And even with polls telling them they were losing, they refused to take any responsibility for that failure. All the while, the lies continued and just got bigger. Even liberal pundit Bill Maher hit pay dirt when he commented that when you’re in a hole trying to get out, stop digging! Fortunately, enough Americans had the common sense to take the shovel away from the Left.
