The Patriot Post® · Trump Defends Defenseless Christians
Many great things happened over the Christmas holiday. One of the most gratifying was President Trump’s order to strike Islamist terrorists in Nigeria on Christmas Day.
The president took this action after intelligence sources reported that Islamic radicals linked to ISIS were plotting attacks on Christians during Christmas church services. In fact, many Nigerians had already decided to cancel Christmas celebrations because the danger was so great.
These evil attacks have occurred for too many years while the world, including the U.N., yawned and ignored the death and destruction. It was as if these Black Christian lives didn’t matter at all.
These are our brothers and sisters in Christ. They are facing an existential threat from radical Islamists. It is a good and just thing that President Donald Trump is standing with them, as we all should.
Jesus Is The Reason
Another thing to celebrate was President Trump’s Christmas proclamation. In stark contrast to Joe Biden, who notoriously snubbed God and Jesus, Donald Trump wrote:
“The First Lady and I send our warmest wishes to all Americans as we share in the joy of Christmas Day and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ… The birth of Jesus revealed the perfect expression of God’s boundless love and His desire to be close to His people…
"We continue to rejoice in the gift of God’s only begotten Son as the graces of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection continue to pour out upon all who believe. . .
"This Christmas, we also give thanks for the many blessings that God has bestowed upon our great Nation. For nearly 250 years, the principles of faith, family, and freedom have remained at the center of our way of life.
"As President, I will never waver in defending the fundamental values that make America the greatest country in the history of the world—and we will always remain one Nation under God.”
Other top administration officials didn’t just say “Merry Christmas.” They too boldly proclaimed that Jesus is the reason for the season.
- Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrote, “The joyous message of Christmas is the hope of Eternal Life through Christ.”
- Secretary of War Pete Hegseth posted, “Today we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May His light bring peace, hope, and joy to you and our families.”
- The Department of Homeland Security posted, “Merry Christmas, America. We are blessed to share a nation and a Savior.”
- Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard wrote this: “Merry Christmas and aloha from our family to yours. May we spend this day and every day remembering Jesus Christ and following his message to us all: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. And the second is like unto it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ (Matthew 22:37-39).”
In fact, the liberal Washington Post whined that this year’s messages “sharply diverged from the more secular, Santa Claus-and-reindeer style of Christmas messages that have been the norm for government agencies for years.”
The Washington Post is right. There was a “divergence” this year—but it was one we can celebrate! Jesus is back!
The Walz Fraud Scandal Grows
The colossal Somali fraud scandal in Minnesota continues to grow and grow and grow. The latest revelation of corruption was exposed not by an intrepid journalist from the “mainstream media” but by YouTuber Nick Shirley. (Leftists in Minnesota quickly tried to label Shirley a “white supremacist” and a “Zionist.”)
Shirley started looking into childcare centers in Minneapolis and discovered several with no children at all. He also found at least one child “learing center” that misspelled “learning.” Regardless, there was no “child learning” taking place. It was a scam. More massive fraud among Minnesota’s Somali community.
Once again, Gov. Tim Walz is claiming ignorance, making statements like, “How was I supposed to know?” and, hilariously, suggesting he’s been fighting fraud all along.
Well, here’s what we do know.
- Gov. Walz spent his time making sure that any boy could walk into a girl’s bathroom and make his perverted dreams come true.
- He also made sure that boys had all the tampons they “needed” in their bathrooms.
- And, when hundreds of state officials attempted to make sure he did in fact know about the massive fraud scandals, he punished the whistleblowers instead of thanking them.
Several people who have spent time in Somalia have said that corruption is rampant there and that Somalians don’t share our concept of “corruption.” They see it as one tribe taking care of its own, and any tribal leader would be foolish not to exploit every opportunity to “enrich” his own people.
Even the left-wing New York Times acknowledges the culture of systemic corruption in Somalia.
One U.S. officer who served in Somalia recalled local leaders offering numerous bribes, like the “gift” of a free Rolex watch. Of course, there was no such thing as a “free Rolex.” The watch was intended to be a bribe for special favors.
The malfeasance of Gov. Walz was failing to look out for the corruption and fraud that were totally predictable.
Now we’re learning about other Somali fraud schemes in states like Ohio, where Somali restaurant owners also run small grocery stores across the street or next door.
These restaurant owners are allegedly purchasing food for their restaurants from their own stores using taxpayer-funded food stamps. If the allegations are true, it would be a form of money laundering with taxpayer-funded benefits subsidizing their business profits.
One final point: When Donald Trump burst onto the political scene, some Midwest states that were reliably Democrat—Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin—voted for Trump. But not Minnesota, where the growing Somali diaspora kept the state in Democrat hands. The corruption was more than worth the price for the Left to maintain their power.
Accountability Is Coming
I know many Americans are beyond frustrated when this kind of corruption frequently seems to go unpunished. I am pleased to say that accountability is coming to Minnesota.
Commenting on the latest revelation of childcare fraud, FBI Director Kash Patel wrote:
“The FBI is aware of recent social media reports in Minnesota. However, even before the public conversation escalated online, the FBI had surged personnel and investigative resources to Minnesota to dismantle large-scale fraud schemes exploiting federal programs. . .
"The FBI believes this is just the tip of a very large iceberg. We will continue to follow the money and protect children, and this investigation very much remains ongoing. Furthermore, many [Somali fraudsters] are also being referred to immigration officials for possible further denaturalization and deportation proceedings where eligible.”
In addition, the Trump administration is “cutting off and clawing back ALL [Small Business Administration] grants to Minnesota, effective immediately” after the SBA uncovered hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud in a matter of days.
